Thanks to ESPN, the mainstream media, and other outlets, you may presume we in Greater Cleveland are, well, somewhat urinated right now.

Using the old Reagan "vote with your feet" axiom, I have deliberately sat many of the 15-minute games out. If NTN/Buzztime is doing any "data mining," they will observe this longtime player has played about 65% of the 15-minute games as he has played Countdown games, despite having more than twice the opportunities to play the "shorties."

Tonight, I arrived at Harpo's Sports Cafe in Brook Park, Ohio, a western suburb of Cleveland at 6 p.m., in time for two "shorties" before my usual Tuesday night fare of two Countdowns followed by Glory Daze. Thus, for the one "shorty" I played, I used the "guest" function, and signed in as LEQUIT.

LEQUIT got a perfecto on the 6:00 Buzztime Trivia! Thus, in addition to the North American board, for the rest of July, LEQUIT will sit atop the board at Harpo's Sports Cafe for all to see!

Well worth sacrificing a gold medal for!

Years ago when I was a new player I walked into a BWW in Middletown KY and sat at the bar, got a beer, logged on, and looked up at the screen.

I turned to my friend sitting next to me and asked him "Who is FISTME ?".

He said "those two girls over there sharing that box".

The following is not a trivai handle, but a great play on words just the same:

I was sitting at my usual Sunday night location waitng to play SIQ a couple weeks ago. There is a usual crew that hangs out there 7 days a week. Think of a more blue collar version of Cheers and you'll have a good impression of these guys. All in all a pretty good collection of fun guys.

Anyway, a newbie comes in and tell the bartender he wants a Busch Lite. One of the regulars turns to him and says, "We dont call it that here. Around here a Busch Lite is a "Landing Strip".

Maybe thats a common one but I hadnt heard that before! I that that was pretty good!

This was for the November 2009 Wednesday Six tournament. So this site would not allow my regular user name to show up so I decided to give a not so subtle reminder to what I thought about this. My guest name for that night was F (the name of a female sheep). Yes this somehow got accepted by buzztime.

Best I ever managed personally was playing at the Stadium in Dallas Tuesday night as LOQTUS.

Probably funniest I saw was a group of four playing as "SOLO".
