At my original homesite, the now-defunct Thirsty Dog Brewing Company in Fairlawn, Ohio (upscale suburb of Akron), I stopped in one Saturday afternoon for a few pints of Old Leghumper Porter and some trivia.
After two pints, I racked up a 14,990 on Countdown, and felt the need to urinate. Between me and the restroom were some bikers.
These were not the lawyers or accountants who bought Harleys at the time for the image, but genuine, tattooed hardcore old-school bikers.
The biggest, scariest, wouldn't-want-to-meet-in-a-dark-allety one of them pointed at my almost-perfecto and said "Yew a college professor or somethin'?"
I replied, "No, but I DID stay in a Holiday Inn Express last night!"
The whole bunch of them laughed their asses off, I pissed in peace, and when I came back, they had bought me a beer!
