Did he create accounts with these names? I thought the reason for having to select a name if you are a guest was to prevent stupidities like those above.

All of the handles are registered.

Then it is Buzztime that I have lost all credibility for. I've repeatedly seen that they don't allow names that are negative to be registered. FDUBYA can only mean one thing, and it is crystal clear what it means. For Buzztime to say "we don't want things that are offensive", and allow this, contradicts their own rules.

So a friend of yours constantly creates asinine handles, makes a mockery of BT stats by repeated system manipulation over a period of years, and it's only BT you've lost all credibility for?

Oh no, he is the greatest trivia player you have never met. The only thing we see is the constant cheating shit, but we are to take the word of his friends. FSHMAN is a giant fucking douche, plain and simple, but he is their giant douche.

My list is similar, but mine is for this side since I never see anybody on the East Feed. My list includes those names plus: ROGUE, ENTYRE, GNU B, CRISPY, PURDI, ILLINI, BONDO, BONGO, ABBOT, ROABET, EGGR, NORUNT, NORUNT, F N A, W T F, and a suspected group in Canada.

I have never claimed to be a friend of his. I claim to have met him on several occasions and I have played games with him in a group setting, but never claimed to be friends with him, never tried to contact him to go out and play, or ever wanted to associate with him in any way. There have been many times where I will walk into a place, see him there, and sit on the other side of the bar. When he saw me, he would change his name.

I agree in many ways many things that are said here about him, and (perhaps most if not all of) you folks haven't even met him. I don't like what he does as far as cheating, using inappropriate names, and other things against Buzztime. I've also heard stories outside the Buzztime world that make me think even less of him, but I won't post that information here for fear of being banned.

That said, I again don't respect Buzztime for allowing FDUBYA to be registered

Fair enough. And no reason to post non-BT stories here.

BT has a difficult task, impossible to weed out all the slam handles automatically without severely compromising the ability to create an innocent login. And with the volume of new registrants lately, would take forever to sift through them manually.

I once played at a location that didn't allow" F" names. One time a photographer tried to post a handle of F-STOP and they wouldn't allow him until he explained the reason. Only time they let someone use an "F" handle.

How is a location screening handles as people are logging in? Did they have someone watching what was put into every box?

Or was it after it showed up on screen and they told him to change it or log off?

Either way never seen a bar devote that much time and energy to this.

I've told the story before, but one time I was in Lafayette, LA playing at a TGIF when a regular logged in using a handle that let's just say invoked slavery. There was a family sitting in the restaurant that was certainly offended by this and spoke with management who then requested the reg change his name. He flatly refused and was quickly escorted from the premises. Kudos to management for doing the right thing even though it was a regular customer.

Well sure, this case was brought to the bar's attention as it should have. Would the bar have seen it if not informed?

But the prior case sounds like the bar is watching each and every login looking for F handles. What place has time for that.

And to stay on topic, other than Louisville daytime games, what other east zone game scores are under suspicion?

Was it Tequila Hoppers in Upland CA? They had an F-bomb handle war a few years back when they used to run tournaments. I myself got F-bombed there just for sitting alone and getting good scores - a group of three changed their names to WHLKLR, HARPUN, ...and FSHAMU.
Months later at another visit, regulars told me all use of F names were subject to ejection by the management.

But this was years ago back when West bars even had regulars, and an F-bomb war would even get noticed. Nowadays I bet you could F anything you want.

One time, years ago, I saw a bar regular put up a handle that directed a slur at the bartender. He was made to remove it and I later heard he was banned from playing there for a while. Another incident I remember, someone thought it would be funny to play as "HITLER". I suggested he change it to something else and after a little discussion he did.

Mini Yoda "That said, I again don't respect Buzztime for allowing FDUBYA to be registered"

Not to be too political, but shouldn't FOBAMA be as objectionable as FDUBYA? I've seen the first handle on the national boards occasionally.

Completely agree. I'm not going to take a stance on politics in any way/shape/form, but using Buzztime's system to make a political statement, or any statement that is negative (implying the "F"), should be stopped somehow. Why Buzztime doesn't delete these accounts is beyond me

Can we definitely rule out that this misguided soul is merely a Crimson Tide fan?

Are the Milano's handles just button pushers reaping the rewards of other strong players (FOG minions)?

BTW--noticed the TOLFLY handle registered at the homesite. Thanx for the gold medal!

Borgs who play poorly on Showdown.

TOLFLY migrated there on his own. I guess all hatchlings return to their homeland.
