Said it before and I'll say it yet again - "FOOBAR the game"..... 15 questions with 5 possible answers, 4 of which are correct and one of which is wrong. Your task is to simply enter upto 4 correct answers. Should you enter the incorrect answer you lose 250 points regardless of how many correct answers you enter otherwise each correct answer is worth 250 points thus a possible 1000/question. Example: The 4 largest states by land area are: 1. Texas 2. Arizona 3. Montana 4. Alaska 5. California You'd receive 1000 points if you entered any permutation of 1345 you'd lose 250 if your answer contained 2. Now, if you felt confident about Texas and Alaska but weren't sure after that then you could enter 14 or 41 to receive 500 points. Brilliant fucking idea but nobody will do it.... bums me out.... The top 4 MLB National league homerun hitters for 2009 were: 1. Mark Reynolds 2. Albert Pujols 3. Adrian Gonzalez 4. Ryan Howard 5. Prince Fielder According to Forbes magazine, these were among the 4 richest people in America in 2009. 1. Bill Gates 2. Warren Buffett 3. Christy Walton 4. Lawrence Ellison 5. Michael Bloomberg It would be an awesome game...... IMHO foobar |

Wow! I really like that idea for a game. That would be a ton of fun. You would have to be able to toggle answers though. Just in case you accidentally hit the one button that is the wrong answer. You should be able to turn any number on or off. Great idea for a game. This is probably a stupid question, but have you pitched the idea to Buzztime? If so, did you get a response? If so, what was their excuse for not doing it? |

If so, what was their excuse for not doing it? Ummm..... you don't know me do ya? Anyway, BT's general response to me has traditionally been "Fuck you - you're banned" - well, maybe not in exactly those words.... The only reason I keep posting the idea is so that if they ever do follow up on it and don't a. Give me $10k (I'm cheap) and b. Call the game Foobar or a close variation then I will sue them. This idea is copyrighted. Ha! No - seriously - they never showed any interest when I mentioned it but I think it would be fun and would probably lead to interesting late-game situations/strategies.... foobar |

No, I don't know you, but I do know OF you. I had seen your name mentioned (usually about having been banned) on the Buzztime forums. That's why I said it was probably a stupid question. Great idea for a game though. Maybe someday... |

Yeah backspace was the plan - I mentioned on the BT board that it is surprisingly easy to code - I mean all you need to do is see if the player included the wrong answer - if so they get -250, if not they get 250 * # of answers. |

Need to see if player entered wrong answer and entered every other answer. You might be pushing it! /1111! |

I think it's brilliant. Foobar, have you used this method on your exams? A lot of my professors use the: 1. A 2. B 3. C 4. A and B 5. All of the above ...and damn if it doesn't get me every time. Anyway, I can hear everyone now, "Damn it! Foobar's coming on!" |

TOOTS wrote: It has to be better than "___________." Let's all agree to never mention "that game" again, please? And any game that is not just about pushing a button fast would be so much fun. I love the risk and strategy. Can you imagine playing in a close, competitive game? Do I push that last button or risk losing 250? What is the other guy going to do? Sounds like an absolute blast! |
