When "Baseball Sluggers" came up the first time, one of our guys said "Frank Howard" before even seeing the question.
After recovering from the initial shock that he had ever even heard of Frank Howard, imagine my surprise when I saw the second question from that category a few minutes later.
I've officially given up trying to figure out why we sometimes do far better or worse than other folks out there. But that game didn't seem terribly difficult. I know we usually do better when the game skews toward much older material ( I like to think of myself as a precocious curmudgeon...), so maybe there was more of that kind of stuff than it felt like. I don't know...but we'll take it.
Maybe the west coasters and I can call it even after the complete smackdown that they laid on me in one of my rare SIQ appearances the night before.
At least, I'm hoping that it's the same group of guys.
I don't need to be taking on everybody on the west coast now, fer cryin' out loud!
