Along with Pacific Beach Bar & Grill, Imperial Beach (IB) Forum is one of the longest tenured NTN Buzztime sites in The (Just Plain Old) Site-Poor Backyard, San Diego County, CA (The Horribly Site-Poor Golden State). IB Forum is the most southwesterly bar in CONUS (and, of course, the most southwesterly NTN Buzztime site in CONUS).

While not the shortest by distance, the easiest way to get to IB Forum is to take I-5 south to the Coronado Avenue exit, then right (Coronado Avenue becomes Imperial Beach Blvd. after entering Imperial Beach). Just before one gets to the ocean, IB Forum is on the right, at the corner of Seacoast Dr. There is ample free parking available in both the parking lot and on Imperial Beach Blvd.

IB Forum has a total of twenty Playmakers. Ten are accessible in the general dining area; the other ten are kept behind the bar. There are plenty of monitors in both the general dining area and the bar, and at least one in both areas has been on Channel A each time I’ve visited. The IB Forum staff, led by the owner since 1992, April Morgan, has been most supportive of NTN Buzztime.

Most of the menu is well priced (under $10). There are a few exceptions, most notably the cook your own steak(s) options, and their specialties, including the all you can eat Friday fish fry. Of course, there is also a good selection of beer on tap.

It should be lil if any surprise that IB Forum is most highly recommended for all to include during any visit to the San Diego area.

We usually do and spend the night nearby. I will also add that most of the regulars are friendly.

Well, the most southwesternly bar in CONUS has discontinued NTN Buzztime. Image Image Image From the looks of the NTN Buzztime SiteFinder, the most southwesternly NTN site now appears to be Black Angus Chula Vista, which was one of the three Stuart Anderson's here in NTN Buzztime's Site-Poor Backyard to reinstall.

Too bad they dropped BT.

How many sites are described as "Just before one gets to the ocean..".

Shame to lose that.
