RIP St Louis Area Hooters

I was informed 3 weeks ago that Hooters in the St Louis area gonna pull the plug on Buzztime...

..well it happened this week...MoreCowbell confirm it when its gone at his local Hooters. I still go the one in Fairview Hghts for sports so I won't be tied down as much there (though I try to ask them to put some auto racing)

Well my home right now will be B-Dubs in O'Fallon, IL with 3 handles there and two others in the new B-Dubs in Chesterfield.

The Hooters in the St Louis area are all company owned stores. In the beginning lots of people were playing BT, but there were managers that didn't care and wouldn't change a TV screen.

There was a St Louis area BT "Live" tournament; four weeks of qualifying and a finale. The winning team turned out to be family of one of the Hooters trivia hostesses'. Lots of lost players.

The Maryland Heights store had a Six team, but they quit Hooters after the manager twice kept half the BT bootie the team won in Hooters tournaments.

In the end only two of the six stores had regular players. It is a shame because BT is suffering due to Hooters management. Hooters is also missing dozens of covers per week.

Oh and Hooters America got new ownership a little over a year ago so the guy on undercover boss is no longer with the company.

Kendo and I are now hearing the same thing about Hooter's in Tallahassee, FL.

2 Maryland/DC area Hooters have recently dropped BT. No one was playing at either location. We'll see what happens at the others that do have some slight play.

None of the Hooters around here do anything to promote BT and never have it on a TV, always have to ask. That will lead to a fast unsubscribe the day the year is up.
