Sadly, not mine! A guy called DINGO played Lunchtime Trivia for nearly three hours and came out of it with a perfect score to his name. I've been having eye problems for the last week and only checked the website and discovered this tonight. Props to DINGO if he sees this. I have yet to ever get a perfect score, so I'm a bit jealous! :p

I'm not sure where my best bet for a perfect score/gold medal is. Lunchtime is theoretically the easiest but the pop culture questions are always tough for me. It'll probably end up being a 10 question premium game where I guess 2 or 3 correct responses to scoot to 10k. Almost did that successfully tonight, actually. Topix is also a possibility. The top score was less than 1k from mine tonight. We'll see.

Just keep plugging away at it and it will happen. In my case, the blind squirrel gets an acorn once in a while.

My first 2 golds were assisted (playing team) but my third one came on a lunchtime game where I got an unassisted perfect score. I knew 6 of them and made an educated guess on the last.

I also ran 15 in a row on countdown a few weeks ago...but just like an "Andy Varipapa 300" in bowling, didn't actually count since it spanned 2 games.

You'll get there.

Ah thanks BUD! I made a really dumb mistake in the first round (I went Mexico then Australia on the United States question) but I had actually read up on the funnel-web spider a few months ago. My guess is that one tripped a lot of people up. It was more obscure than most of the questions that game.

Kudos on the gold, Brutus. Yeah Countdown is such a marathon of randomness. One time I had over 9k after the first two rounds (getting scrap points on question 1 then 9 perfects), but the last round was so bad I didn't even crack 12k. That was really frustrating.

Well, hell. That one gold medal is more than a lil less than half of the sites in The Horribly Site-Poor Golden State.

OTOH, there's more than a lil way to go before approaching the individual player with the most gold. Image

In Northfield OH, a blue-collar suburb of Cleveland, I did a perfecto on Countdown. The questions were all "in my wheelhouse."

After I did that perfecto, a man who was not playing bought me a beer, saying "I never saw anyone do that before!"

If you keep playing, they will come.

This summer I stopped in Winchester to see SPIEGS and a few others at the BWW there. I guy came up to me and told me that I had put up two 15K CD games at his now defunct location and insinuated that I had some how cheated.

First game I played, I went 15K sitting by myself, with him two tables away staring at me. Some other guy bought me a beer for beating the guy that claimed that I had somehow cheated.

That sure was one great beer...EGADS!!!

They don't understand we have file cabinets in our brain of "worthless information" that works great for Buzztime.

Way to play Bruttha.
