The owner of Scooter's informed Dan tonight that he will be dumping Buzztime. It simply isn't worth the cost anymore.

I do not know what the plan will be.

Oh, no! I am so sorry to hear this. The Scooter's team has been among the best of West for so long. I hope your team finds a new home soon.

Having gone through the experience of moving multiple times over the years I hate to see a place close that's been around for so long. I can remember back when we played at La Finca a Mexican restaurant here in Ashland. They had Buzztime for exactly 2 years the length of the contract. One of our group brought in his credit card/debt card statements to show just how much just he alone was spending a month. It covered a large part or the whole amount some months, guy just had his mind made up that he wasn't going to keep it. Never understand owners like that.

Eric, be sure to let the owner know about the $50 a week option.
This streaming only option is much cheaper than the current elite system cost.

Of course this eliminates the boxes/tablets. iPads/tablets and phones only.
It also means no Showdown or Spotlight till they are available on the app.

I will guess the owner doesn’t know about going to streaming. It’s better than nothing.

I’m trying to get a bar that dropped around here a few months ago to sign back up for streaming. They knew nothing about it. They say that $50 is very doable for them. Not sure where the delay is.

Good luck.

Betty/LEOASC is starting her campaign to save trivia at Scooter's. My understanding is that the cancellation is already a done deal and they're just waiting for Buzztime to come and get the equipment, but I learned a long time ago not to argue with Betty when she gets her mind set on doing something.

The streamlined no-Playmaker option is a no-go for me because Showdown is my primary game. I really am not enthusiastic about driving all the way across Las Vegas for my second or third choice.

We'll see what Betty is able to accomplish and then go ahead from there.
