Wondering why we haven't discussed this month's trophy. Well I have to start it since my bar is #1 after week 1 in the Gateway Trophy League.

We (Diamond Lil's) are also in the tournament, and we are ahead in the Chi City Showdown League after the first week. Some of the top area teams are not in the tournament (e.g., Teaser's), but it still fun, and it provides a little extra incentive for people to show up for the game.

I am wondering what this "traveling trophy" thing is anyway? ZERO bars in my STATE have been included.. I say again in 4 years that they have been doing this we have had zero bars ever included..

Every quarter the DFW area has had a league and every quarter we've won the trophy. But for some reason DFW is not included this time around. We're going to assume that the other teams got weary of getting trampled and refused to participate.

We had a lot of fun playing in this tournament. We just barely won in the Chi City Showdown league, with Village Inn in Skokie right on top of us the whole time. With the match so close after four weeks, we had eleven regular players (fourteen boxes) - the most I have seen together at once in a long time. By that measure, the tournament was a success at our site.
