New Scaratings

I've posted this in the traveler's forum, but I know I generally don't check into that forum myself, so I'm also posting this here. One of our teamies (BOTAN) is going to be in St. Louis over June 7-8 and would like to play Showdown with a team somewhere. Ordinarily in the past I would have suggested Laclede St., but they don't seem to be playing much this year. Side Pockets seems to be doing doing well, but I'm wondering if they'll still be playing after the Traveling Trophy is over. Is BWW Creve Coeur still meeting regularly?

Any suggestions? BTW, if you get him to play with you, you'll be glad you did. He's particularly helpful with geography and botany, but knows a lot of other stuff, too.

Any chance we can get him to come to NYC instead? We'll be starting the SIX tournament at Broadway Station that week.

Actually, we'll be in the second week of the Six tournament. Pretty nice prizes in this tournament, although the rules are complicated. A prelim round in June with various zones. Another prelim round in September, and then a final round in November. The prizes go up to a $500 party in your bar plus a $2000 Expedia travel card. How come NTN (Buzztime) doesn't give nice prizes like this for their Showdown games?

I got a regular team at Baxters in Fairview Hgts, IL (east of St Louis). Side Pockets is indeed the leaders in the gateway trophy with Baxters 2nd. GRIFF/GLIFF and his crew stopped playing at Laclede Street 3 months ago and plays seldomly at Hooters of Kiener Plz. I'll suggest playing with my crew or Side Pockets for SD or SIX.

Please don't. It's bad enough now we've got so many cheatin' borger bars playing. If they ever put up a big money prize, there's be a lot more.

There would be teams with multiple laptops using entirely iPhones playing the lag gambit.

Just wish BT would understand how to combat all this, it's not difficult. Very easy to write unborgable questions and reduce the iPhone range to next to nothing.
