New Scaratings

I'm on the road in Chicago now and won't be playing but it may be that our bar in Tampa has finally expired. Our team mailgroup is buzzing with news that the Zone has been closed the past three days with no word why or when it will be back.

Looks like a walkover game for SRO OT tonight and a hiatus for our team while we search for an alternative. <sigh>

That sucks, you guys will be back soon though.

Looks as though 9/23 was the last time somebody played BTT at In The Zone. With the old site pages you could see the last time the site called out, now it's a pain. I still don't understand why they screwed up a great site finder and pages.

Always hate to see a good team out on the street - I don't know what it is with the bars that are chosen by Showdown teams, but it seems they go under more frequently than should be the case. Maybe it's just a matter of heightened perception.

Anyway, we'll take no pleasure in walking over you if it comes to that, and maybe the team can find an alternative venue in time for tonight, which would be my hope. Our chances of advancing are practically nil in any case following the debacle of Sept 13....

Apparently, they just had a power outage yesterday. In the Zone is open and it will be business as usual tonight.

I hope this is true, but even if it isn't, if the team can find somewhere else to play (that conforms to the contest's rules) and notify me in advance of the game, its score there WILL be counted. Please let me know if there is a change in venue.
