Showdown Recap for Coaches on 22 Nov 2011
Lesser among the many things the team at Coaches has to be thankful for this year is the continued non-bankruptcy of BUZZTIME. The majority of the team was able to make it in tonight to play with us, rather than be pulled away by their private lives. Like I always say, “Don’t let your personal life interfere with Trivia.” However, for this week, to save time for my personal life this Thanksgiving, I am going straight to the recap.

FINAL TRAGEDY, on the Topic of EUROPEAN HISTORY
Who were the opponents of the Jacobins during the French Revolution? GIRONDISTS
The little-team-that-could had some pretty good scores tonight. The top six were 53985, 52875, 52837, 52497, 49104, and 48274. Our unusually high team score (for the last 3 months) was 51,595 points. This is looking promising, but our final rank probably depends more on the luck of the Borgs versus the skill of the top teams. Was this game easy to Borg? We don’t know.
The rankings page eventually ground its way back to our screens and we saw the Crotches Crewe ranked Number 5 for the night. WooHoo! Congrats to Jilly’s, Danny K’s, the Fellowship, and the Stadium Café for besting us tonight. Raspberries for the Borg, who seem not to have cracked the Top Page.
