Did anyone take "Latin Music" in the category round? One of our members got outvoted both times and really would like to know what we missed. Given how badly we did on that round (our worst of the night), we probably should have voted with him regardless of what the questions were.

I played solo last night, and actually took Latin Music over the other choice (Business Currents?) in Question 1. In the question, a singer's name was cited, and we were asked what country that singer was from. All I remember is that the singer did not have a Spanish-based name, but the answer was Cuba; I guessed it for about 600.

I opted for the other category on Question 6, which was Central America, where I bombed both questions.

Benny More or something like that IIRC. We avoided the category after that.

sorry..we skipped Latin Music..would have like to skipped the Classical Music Final as well. All I knew on the final was that it wasn't Hector Berlioz.

I was relieved to see a final question that I knew the answer to for a change.

The last question asked something along the lines of the last name of the brothers who created the New York style of Latin music. I believe the answer was Palmeiri.

We weren't real thrilled with either choice for question 6. Central America seemed way too broad--while there are only 7 countries, the question could have been history, politics, money, geography, culture, etc. So, with some trepidation, we chose Latin music, hoping for a question on Gloria Estefan, Ricky Martin, Desi Arnaz, or a dance we had seen on Dancing With the Stars--and instead got a question about two brothers we had never heard of.
