being a captive audience (80 minute drive and horrible rush-hour traffic to let pass by), i sat it out... game cut over to glory daze without letting us finish showdown... BT's website still down... glory daze played normally... aaaaaaaand. network scores came back late, no idea if they worked, but i doubt it.

You were definitely not alone. All of the phone apps stopped working for us before the game, and then the game on the screen was often out of sync with the boxes--to the point where we were getting zero points for questions we precalled for 1000. The game was so lagged that we did not get any commercials between rounds, but we did at least receive the final question.

As someone from another team commented, "Who was running this game, Steve Harvey?"

At Jax, we did not get the final question. It cut to Glory Daze before we even got to see it, let alone answer it.

Didn't matter, as we didn't get credit for well over half of our answers. :(

We managed to finish the game, although many questions were on the screen for less than a second, while others lingered for so long we thought the screen was stuck. If this is a system-wide glitch, doesn't that mean by the rules of the Sandbaggers Tournament, the game is dropped. ANON?

My site also was hanging up. Main Buzztime site is down. But we did get to see final question.

Category PEN NAMES- Which 18th writer used the name Captain Hercules Vinegar?

Henry Fielding

This was the only name I recognized for the period.

As I posted elsewhere, BT has stated that there is a problem and that they are working to resolve it.

I endorse XTRAIN's suggestion that this week be dropped. The game played fast at the Tailgate, too fast. As a smoker, I have an excellent sense of timing, and the gamebreaks went by very rapidly. A pity, for those who didn't see all the questions. This was a superb quiz. We at the Tailgate didn't see Final Leaderboards for Brainbuster or Showdown. This was a modulator, rather than a server issue.

If the often minatory commissioner, ANON, were to extend this tournament by a week, it would end on November 22, two days before the US Thanksgiving. This particular date, so far from being intrusive of your holiday plans, would serve to punctuate the advent of a deplorably sociable holiday season.

I didn't sign up among the Sandbaggers, and have no skin in the game. Good fortune to everyone involved.

the rules allow for network glitches by dropping one game. A team like ours that is mid pack, and had only one bad question with a zero requests that the original rules be followed.
