Showdown Recap for 15 May 2018 at BWW Gibson in ABQ
BLZBUB is hustling to get this recap up well before he jets away for some R & R. Your favorite Ragged Rascal is going to the Riviera (of the Rednecks) at Pensacola Beach for some fun and liquid libations. But fear not, He will be back in his anointed chair for next weeks edition of Bust Your Brainbox.
But in the meantime, let us proceed directly to the review of this week’s festivities at the BWW on Gibson in the ABQ. This week, the Rascals had a nearly full compliment of players. There were 12 hardy souls manning 15 machines for the fray.
Worn-up Round

Other than the confusion and late calls on #6, the team played perfectly for this round. However, there was also a good save on #9, where SCOOTR pulled us out of the ‘black’ and into the ‘deep’ for the answer.

The round was pretty typical in its results…five 3-clue saves and 7 correct.

All of these were answered either with pre-calls or Greek Chorus answers. 6 for 6 correct is great for this round.
Frightening Round

That round was a disaster for us. Some people managed to pick up a correct answer for points on the missed questions, but only four finished as high as 5600 points for the round.

The Ragged Rascals had six boxes get through this difficult round with 5 for 5 correct, while the other seven were on 4 for 5 correct.
FINAL TRAGEDY Topic: CHEESE
Mozzarella cheese from Italy is traditionally made from the milk of this animal:
