You needed to update the app to 1.20.59 to get the game, but it worked. Ended up playing by myself since the others had left based on what Buzztime told us in their meeting and posted on Facebook.

Did anyone else see this?

Showdown was on the app last night, wow. How was it? worked ok for the entire game? Any timing differences? Scoring bugs? Disconnects? All perfect?

We’ll try Spotlight on Friday.

Hey Ray, what BT app version does your iPad have? The number is at the bottom of the app home page or the log in page.

My iPad is showing 1.0.20-57. Stro reports he needed .20-59 in order to play at a no box site hub bar.

Download the newest version and try Spotlight on Fri. Time Out is a Tablet bar right? So maybe it doesn’t work there. I’m hoping to find out on Fri.

Bud, my version is 1.0.20-57. This is after I tried updating the version.
And Time-Out West is a tablet bar,

Let's get some details straightened out first:

I am using Android and any version numbers I provide is for that. iOS uses the same general version format, but the last set of digits could be different. For iOS, it is version 1.0.20.something that should have the latest code.

The older Android version was 1.0.19.54. The updated version is 1.0.20.57. Apologies for not getting those numbers exactly right previously.

Bull's Eye is a BYOD site, which has been using a SiteHub device. This was the location where Showdown worked.

Time Out West is NOT a BYOD, which means it uses a different, older version of code than the BYOD. Is it conceivable that the app will show Showdown/Spotlight on a BYOD but not a tablet location? Yes. If so, would Buzztime fix it? Based on what was said on the online meeting, no. They said then they were not doing any more development on the older lines; the fix is getting the new box.

Outside of the shock coming from seeing a game playing after the owner said it couldn't work, the only questionable area was in the Category round. The last time I played (a couple years back), you had a choice of two categories. Last night, there was no choice. Did the game change for everyone previously, or is this new/different?

It is now my understanding that being able to play Showdown at a BYOD or anywhere else is not a
deliberate programming change and will not last. It seems very unlikely this is going to work at a tablet
or playmaker location, and there is reason to believe it may not work in some other BYODs simply because
of game selection.

So there's no harm seeing if it works, but if it doesn't, it won't, and even if it does, you should still bite the bullet and
arrange to get the new equipment because that is how Buzztime is going to operate from now on.

My location has the equipment on order.

My location now has the new equipment installed. We'll play it tonight.

Countdown came on at 830 Tues at a site hub bar. Maybe Bulls Eye was 1 of 1 to get SD.

I could write a whole bunch now, but it would be 99%+ speculation. If I had to bet money on this, I would say that a few to some BYODs will be able to
play these games on the app for a while, and I would want to get some good odds even on that bet.

In any event, we can no longer observe this because we have the new equipment, and that seems to have issues, too.
