Congrats are again in order to In The Zone for the win on the night. I know I don't need to tell you this, but you rock.

Thanks very, very much. ANON must be the most gracious poster on this forum. He never fails to give props to the winner each week. Unless they borg, of course.

We had a wonderful night at In The Zone. Our third win in the last ten weeks. Whew! We've been on a roll unlike any other in our teams 12+ year history. Hope we can keep it together.

Indeed, a nice job by Tampa again! Sorry for the delay guys. I took on Showdown solo with my 6 playmakers for the first time in about 8 years. I was happy with my 43k avg. The Haute Couture question in Pyramid cost me a 50k ish. But others agree that last nights final question was really easy? Of course if you're an American History buff :) Just my thought.

Yeah, we were guessing it would be something to do with either Guiteau or Czolgosz before the question came up.

I had Guiteau mentally lined up in my pre-question list of possibilities. What was disappointing, though, was that the alternative answers were so obviously wrong. MLK, RFK were two that I recall, and everybody knows who shot them. It would have been more fun if they had included McKinley and maybe a French or Canadian victim, or even someone like Versace, to make a little less mindless.

We went down on the Charles Worth question too. I was worried about haute couture, but allowed myself to be swayed by louder voices onto a wrong answer. Must learn to ignore such distractions and trust the instincts!

On the Charles Worth question, we fortunately have a delighful lady named Sue (MAKI) who somehow survived growing up as the sister of BLUMAX. She handles all Fine Arts questions for the team and precalled "Women's Clothes" on this one. We made the leap to Haute Couture when the choices appeared. There was much applause following. Some "Here, heres" and "Jolly Goods."

We had ARBEZ to thank for this--the rest of us had no clue. Thanks ARBEZ!

We blew the haute couture question as well but three of us knew the final question.
