New Scaratings

For fun, I am running a simulation of the November 2011 Smartest Bar Wednesday Six final as a single elimination bracket.

With 80 locations, it will run seven weeks, two longer than the actual event. Perhaps the final four will stay together into December to play it on the field.

The top 48 have first-round byes and do not face elimination until November 9. All the wild card qualifiers are seeded 61 through 80. Wild card total scores were divided by 5 for June and by 4 for September. Conventional location total scores for the 60 top-three route qualifiers were divided by 4 for June and by 3 for September.

FWIW, Willie's will almost certainly be defaulting.

We qualified at the Blue Goose in June. Not ones to pass up a good chance to compete, we played at Willie's on Wednesdays for the month of September--and qualified again.

As much as we enjoyed playing the live music trivia at Willie's (and despite the higher scores at Willie's), we'll be back at the Blue Goose for November. Of course, they're starting live trivia 11/2 that features music played between questions, so we'd have distractions at either site--but, nonetheless, the Blue Goose will be competing, and, unless someone unknown shows up, Willie's will not be.

At Hardtimes we play live trivia at the same time as SIX, complete with loud music with no problem at all, easy to do Rick.

I think this extra SIX tourney would be as good a time as any to get the Passport/SIX cup back in play. What do you say Danny Ks?

Mezz and Danny Ks always play so they'll be in. West Park is in so that just leaves Heroes. I'm sure someone on here knows how to get a hold of Henry and let him know.

Umm...not really

Some clarification might be in order...our core group of regular Wed. SIX players that usually numbered 8-9 and won 21 games at BWW-Buena Park in 2010 had been whittled down to Dave Sr./ROONEY(MR ALE) and myself playing at Shannon's-Long Beach just prior to Smartest Bar starting, due to out-of-state moves/adjusted work scheduling/general disinterest...for tourney purposes former reg. players Dave Jr./BYOTCH and Mike/HHHHHH agreed to join Dave Sr. and myself in representing Danny K's; now that it's over no one else is interested in continuing to complete bracket play(though I will probably be playing myself somewhere), sorry; also we've been eager to resume playing a regular pub trivia contest in Long Beach that we put off to do Smartest Bar...long story short, Danny K's is out...hopefully we can resume reg. play somewhere in the near future, because I for one do love SIX...
