Well folks, It is with a heavy heart I bring the news that Nacho Mamas has had its last gathering for our team. It seems that their landlord will not renew their lease. It will be closed as of 10/10 leaving us to find another place to play by next week. I was unable to make it last night, and from the looks of it many of our team were also absent. Until next week, same bat time, different bat channel for us.

Sorry to hear that Mudee, not much warning on that one.

No score for this week for BWW. Opiee and I are in the Ocean City MD, Fenwick DE and Rehobeth DE area for a few weeks. The other guys were elsewhere this week too.

The Hurricane went wide and spared us. We can continue on playing at Coins and other beach bars.

I computed the stats for Walsh's and West Park since it's been very close between us since this whole thing started. Here's what I have for October:

Walsh's:
Week 1: 60,717
Week 2: 59,816
Week 3: 48,610
Week 4: 53,491
October average: 55,659
Sept/Oct. average: 57,292

West Park:
Week 1: 54,765
Week 2: 56,500
Week 3: 50,907
Week 4: 57,668
October average: 54,950
Sept/Oct. average: 57,137

Couldn't ask for much closer. As it was with the last tournament, the last week will be huge.

And the 2 month average has West Park Station narrowly on top by only 275 points, and the winners of Six Challenge #3. Congrats and great game folks!!!

1 West Park Station - Cleveland, OH....57,566

5 Nacho Mamas - Tempe, AZ..............42,139

Please feel free to check my numbers, I am very tired, and could have made a mistake.

P.S. If you are so inclined, please say a prayer for John (D OH) one of our team members. He has been in the hospital for over 2 weeks and the Docs cant find the problem.

See you folks in the spring for Six Challenge #4.

Post subject:  Re: Six Challenge #3 Results

mudee, the spreadsheet that I have kept is in almost total agreement with your findings; the only discrepancy is that I used 50,907 for West Park Stations' score for 10/15, and you showed 50,367, but somehow that didn't affect the calculations afterwards.

Congratulations to West Park Station for the win, and a great comeback against Walsh's.

I'm surprised that our group, Chicago Sams, finished 3rd, in part because on four of the games we only had two players. When last Thursdays game ended, I told my teammates (both of them) that we finished 4th, so it was very close. The BWW-Gaithersburg team is always strong, and we will need to improve to finish ahead of them again.

I wish your friend John a complete and speedy recovery. Hang in there!

Congrats to Zog and Chicago Sams on taking 3rd. Well done in that last game which put you just ahead. We also had 3 players for that game, which is probably the usual number we get on Thursday. Out of 4 people, 1 or 2 are usually missing if not all 4 which did happen leaving the drop score predecided which is tough knowing the others will have to count. Obviously you all are in the same low player count situation. Nice job on 3rd.

Oh right, I guess congrats to the others far ahead of us.

Thanks Mudee for your effort in running this one again. 2 very close finishes coming down to the last game made the competition interesting. Hopefully we can get a few more to play in the spring. Houston, Albuquerque, Minnesota and Kent should be playing among others.

I hope your friend can figure something out soon. Best wishes on finding the right doctor who may think about unusual ailments.

As an outside observer who loves to play SIX but rarely gets the chance, I'd like to thank MUDEE for running the tournament, which is often a thankless task.

I would also like to congratulate my friends over at West Park Station for the well-deserved (and long overdue) victory. You are a scary-smart and classy team, and I am a huge fan.

My congratulations, as well, to West Park for a well-deserved win. Nice to see that we've had three different winners in this tournament. Hopefully more get involved in future iterations.

Thanks folks. I am happy to put this together. And after this years Smartest Bar short comings, I will be happy to continue. We lost over half of our team the second month, and I couldn't make it 2 of the days. The spring should be easier on our schedules, and hopefully have the "band" back together by then.
