Just heard from RADIO/RUDE at BWW Laurel MD that he will play. He will be playing 5 boxes solo, so we will have 2 bars playing that way, the RADIO vs GOD battle for the solo player side bet. LILJOL, you playing 5 boxes these days on Thur? Richte at Adams Mill you want to try to get 5 boxes going? Also Las Vegas?? Anyone there besides Megumi? He was there all weekend. Let's extend the deadline to 8pm Thur for any late comers. |

If you extend it you should specify 8:00pm EST on Thursday. Otherwise, ILLJOL might sign in three hours late. As much as we at Chicago Sam's would love to have Adams Mill competing with us, I don't think that will be an option. Surprise us, Rich. I wonder if pengwn could assemble a team. -- RWM |

He's not that sneaky is he? |

I talked to TED tonight, and he says the group at BWW-Kent is in. He also said that they do live trivia there on Thursdays, and they've also had some technical difficulties with the BWW system the last few Thursdays, so not to expect too much from them. |

Cool, that makes 10 bars. Still a day and a half for more entries. |

Well....now we have awoken another sleeping giant. BWW Arlington VA has entered the challenge. They are the relocated Grand Slam D.C. team of McCarthy cup fame. I guess seeing Kent OH jumping in has urged them to wake up too. We are now at 11 bars, anymore lurkers? |

There is probably no other way to say this, but Walsh's clobbered the field for the first week. Fortunately for the rest of us there is plenty of time left. The standings after the first week are as follows: Walsh's Bar & Grill 62669 BWW Gibson 58448 West Park Station 56860 BWW Gaithersburg 56335 Chicago Sam's 53933 New York City/Mad River 53059 BWW Salisbury 52075 Wild Bills 47062 BWW Arlington 46101 BWW Kent 39533 BWW Laurel 35152 BWW Homewood IL 30861 Congratulations to Walsh's on the win for the first week. When I was there last month Merkin wondered why I didn't just bring the trophy with me to save on the postage. They did back that up the first week. Week 2 comes up next Thursday and I know that we will all be doing our best to win this thing. Good luck to everybody next week. |

Week 2 of the MUDEE Memorial Six Challenge is now complete. Congratulations to Gaithersburg on an excellent game. It looks like they got the message that this is a Six tournament and not a Topix tournament. The scores from last night came out like this: BWW Gaithersburg 62127 West Park Station 60420 Walsh's Bar & Grill 59813 New York City/Mad River 55906 BWW Salisbury 55362 BWW Gibson 50514 Chicago Sam's 48897 Wild Bills 42107 BWW Laurel 40984 BWW Arlington 40620 BWW Kent 40125 BWW Homewood IL 20673 Walsh's still has a sizable lead after two weeks with Gaithersburg make a nice move from last week from 4th to 2nd. The two week total thus far is this: Walsh's Bar & Grill 122482 BWW Gaithersburg 118462 West Park Station 117280 New York City/Mad River 108965 BWW Gibson 108962 BWW Salisbury 107437 Chicago Sam's 102830 Wild Bills 89169 BWW Arlington 86721 BWW Kent 79658 BWW Laurel 76136 BWW Homewood IL 51534 The rules provide that one score will be dropped so the standings taking a drop score into account show a very tight match after the second week: Walsh's Bar & Grill 62669 BWW Gaithersburg 62127 West Park Station 60420 BWW Gibson 58448 New York City/Mad River 55906 BWW Salisbury 55362 Chicago Sam's 53933 Wild Bills 47062 BWW Arlington 46101 BWW Laurel 40984 BWW Kent 40125 BWW Homewood IL 30861 If we get a new winner next week that would jumble the picture even further. It has been fun so far let's keep up the good work. I think MUDEE would appreciate what we've done the first two weeks. |

Three weeks and we have three different winners so far. This is making for an interesting tournament. The results from Week 3 are below. West Park Station 63344 Walsh's Bar & Grill 61506 BWW Arlington 59631 New York City/Mad River 58478 BWW Gibson 57531 BWW Gaithersburg 55624 Wild Bills 53054 BWW Salisbury 49053 BWW Kent 36691 BWW Homewood IL 21823 Chicago Sam's 14160 BWW Laurel 0 I am not sure what happened at BWW Laurel, but if scores get reported over the weekend these rankings will be updated. The overall rankings still have Walsh's in the lead. Walsh's Bar & Grill 183988 West Park Station 180624 BWW Gaithersburg 174086 New York City/Mad River 167443 BWW Gibson 166493 BWW Salisbury 156490 BWW Arlington 146352 Wild Bills 142223 Chicago Sam's 116990 BWW Kent 116349 BWW Laurel 76136 BWW Homewood IL 73357 Things are significantly closer when the dropped score is considered. Walsh's Bar & Grill 124175 West Park Station 123764 BWW Gaithersburg 118462 BWW Gibson 115979 New York City/Mad River 114384 BWW Salisbury 107437 BWW Arlington 105732 Chicago Sam's 102830 Wild Bills 100116 BWW Kent 79658 BWW Laurel 76136 BWW Homewood IL 52684 There are two weeks left of this tournament. It would be very interesting to see five different winners for each week. That would make for a fun tournament. Good luck to everyone next Thursday. |

Radio/Rude of BWW Laurel MD nformed me he wasn't going to be able to play this week due to a changed work schedule. He's playing solo so no one to cover. He will be back next week and will use this week for the drop score. He's doing good considering it's just him. Congrats to Walsh's, now we're getting tight on the scores. We missed a marathon round q sending our bonus and score out the window. Thanks to all for the great turnout so far. I predict a Arlington VA win before we are done. Good luck next week. |

Week 4 of the 2017 MUDEE Memorial Six Challenge 4 is now complete. We have a repeat winner this week. It is Walsh's coming in with the highest score of the tournament so far. The scores this week: Walsh's Bar & Grill 63692 West Park Station 61119 New York City/Mad River 59755 BWW Gaithersburg 56920 BWW Arlington 55763 Chicago Sam's 54450 BWW Gibson 52923 Wild Bills 47155 BWW Salisbury 35697 BWW Laurel 35504 BWW Homewood IL 32991 BWW Kent 0 Kent had the zero score this week. They probably found it impossible to compete with the Cavaliers. Unfortunately for them they will face the same problem next week. The total scores through week 4 are as follows: Walsh's Bar & Grill 247680 West Park Station 241743 BWW Gaithersburg 231006 New York City/Mad River 227198 BWW Gibson 219416 BWW Arlington 202115 BWW Salisbury 192187 Wild Bills 189378 Chicago Sam's 171440 BWW Kent 116349 BWW Laurel 111640 BWW Homewood IL 106348 What really matters is where we stand accounting for the dropped score. Here we go: Walsh's Bar & Grill 187867 West Park Station 184883 BWW Gaithersburg 175382 New York City/Mad River 174139 BWW Gibson 168902 BWW Arlington 161495 Chicago Sam's 157280 BWW Salisbury 156490 Wild Bills 147271 BWW Kent 116349 BWW Laurel 111640 BWW Homewood IL 85675 It looks pretty good for Walsh's with a week left. Let's all finish well the last week. And don't forget to toast MUDEE this coming Thursday. Good luck all. |

Yeah, game 1 of the NBA Finals is on Thursday. Oof. I'm sure they'll manage if they are able to find an open table (unless it becomes standing room only). Walsh's has been quite crowded for the Blackhawks during their Stanley Cup runs. Just something you learn to deal with, I guess. |

Congrats to Walshs good job, don't screw up the last week and it's all yours. Luckily our BWW is in a suburb of Washington DC so we never have to be concerned about any local teams doing well enough to make a semi final or better. Maybe the Os can change that this year. This past Thur we did have the juke box turned off in favor of game 7 of the F Pens game. 1 guy requested that and it was done. Cleveland who? Not around here. No one cared. |

Congratulations to Walsh's Bar & Grill in winning the 2017 MUDEE Memorial Six Challenge 4. Walsh's won it all and finished in fine style. They had the top score among the tournament participants for the last week. Although Gambit and crew in California showed maybe what they could have done in this tournament had they been in it. Gaithersburg continued their roller coaster ride finishing strong with a nice 62k score. Chicago Sam's was forced to play at a different location and their score from last night is included. Kent again couldn't compete with the Cavaliers and put up another zero. The results from this week: Walsh's Bar & Grill 63020 BWW Gaithersburg 62101 BWW Gibson 59294 BWW Arlington 57561 Chicago Sam's 57042 West Park Station 56888 BWW Salisbury 54741 New York City/Mad River 53036 Wild Bills 49963 BWW Homewood IL 22326 BWW Laurel 2444 BWW Kent 0 Sadly, I will now be forced to give up the Six Challenge trophy, but it will go to a worthy holder. The final results are thus: Walsh's Bar & Grill 250887 West Park Station 241771 BWW Gaithersburg 237483 BWW Gibson 228196 New York City/Mad River 227198 BWW Arlington 219056 Chicago Sam's 214322 BWW Salisbury 211231 Wild Bills 197234 BWW Kent 116349 BWW Laurel 114084 BWW Homewood IL 108001 BUD and I thank everyone for participating in this tournament. We hope you enjoyed yourselves. It was fun competing against you all over these weeks. Be prepared to do it again next year. I want to thank BUD for his help in this, especially getting the field to the size it turned out to be. Finally, Walsh's great tournament - you deserve it. |
