West Park Station, which hasn't rolled anything less than a 59K, can take the week off. Teasers as well. Torquemada has done a fine job establishing the cut-off. With only one week remaining in the qualifying rounds, there is bound to be an upset or two, marking the final ten eligible for that one-off finale.

If Pete Rose were to bet on B-52, my home site, Rose should be sentenced to spend a few months in jail and later be denied entrance to the Hall of Fame, for exercising really bad judgment. Can Mad River galvanize, lasso, and/or reconnoitre the talent which won the Mudee Challenge so recently? Or is Mad River destined to die outside the top ten? They're currently ranked 18th. I'm not urbane or sophisticated enough to speculate about what happens in Manhattan, some of which apparently stays in Las Vegas - a riddle I'm happy to share, and which many of you can solve without reflection.

Prattville and Teasers are lurking. I make mention of all these sites because the last time I speculated on a plausible winner, another site I hadn't mentioned was ultimately victorious. And who doesn't root for the underdog?

OK, Prattville. No need to raise your voices!

Pretty wild that the 10th place bar edged out the 11th place bar for the final qualifying spot by a whopping 19 points :o

I took note of that as well.

MERKIN's orphic pronouncement would seem to indicate that he believes that The Esquire Club, in Sault Ste Marie, which slipped into the 10th and last qualifying position, is a cheating bar.

If that's what MERKIN intended, I'm happy to report, based on my personal acquaintance with CHEWY, that The Esquire Club is clean.

BO and ANON insist that anyone can cheat at Brainbuster.

Lord help us all.

Six is the toughest game to borg by far. Naturally doing so could raise a location's score to some degree, just not near as much as other games.

Gone D,

You were looking at the Week 6 results, not the overall. Esquire Club is the #5 Qualifier.

I knew someone would use the 'B' word.
Leave it to Merkin.
Watch out for that 10th place team.

RAY J's guerrilla tactics to rehabilitate The Loop's reputation are noble, so far as they go. But he knows more than he's reported here.

I got a message from ROB/TRONTO today: "Good lick in the tournament next week in the finale..."

I was seriously hoping that ROB himself would give it a run, or GABBY up at Ol' Mexico, or BUGG at Dulono's Pizza, but no other site in Minnesota made any effort whatsoever. Since I'm not by nature a Six player, I'm disappointed in my neighbors for their slouchy indifference.

So this afternoon I was sitting at B-52, scouting the performances of Case Keenum and Sam Bradford, a couple of last year's Vikings quarterbacks, when Sarah, AUVA's daughter, sat down next to me and began wading her way through $100 in pull tabs. She got $20 into it without success before I offered to kiss one of her pull-tabs, just for good luck. Duly kissed, the pull-tab was set aside.

She got $42 out of her $100, but the tab I kissed wasn't a winner.

"It wasn't much of a kiss," I apologized. "I should have given it some tongue."

Good lick to all the qualifiers, including Ray J's group.

All bars should play honestly.

All bars should play honestly.

I know for a fact that the folks at Da Loop play just like the folks at Teaser's.
(Except for the Showdown game.)
BTW, there's a Sam Adams Octoberfest Stein Hoisting coming up on Friday, 9/21.
The Collective won't be there, but I will.
