Below are preliminary 2022 MUDEE Thur Six Challenge #9 results after two weeks. Bud asked me to post this as he is off racing nitro burning funny cars this week. Walsh's has taken first place again, followed closely again by Wingz Sports Grill. In third is Time Out, which improved its performance markedly with 61093 after last week's 25199 with an incomplete team. Lighthouse also improved 6300 points over week one. No data is available yet on Barley Hopsters and Stained Glass for week two. After week three, the dust should clear more with two weerks counting and one week dropped.

Week Three update to the 2022 MUDEE Six Challenge: On Sep 29, two-time defending champion Walsh's won for the third wek in a row with a score of 61,014. Also, for the third week in a row, former champion Wingz Sports Grill finished just behind them with a score of 60,631. Using drop the lowest week scoring, Walsh's now leads WITH 123,918 and Wingz follows with 122,160, only 1,758 behind. In third place, Chicago Loop/Time Out West posted 57,043 for a two week best of 118,136, 5,782 behind.

Very close;with two weeks left to go. Walsh's and Wingz are neck and neck with Time Out still in the hunt. Time Out has 'used' its drop week, though, with a much lower score in week 1 playing with only a partial team. The speadsheet with all scores will be posted at facebook sites Friends who Like Buzztime and Badbart.

After 4 of 5 weeks in the 2022 MUDEE Six Challenge, the race for the top is more tight than ever.

Two time defending champion Walsh's had its best week yet in week 4 with 63,043, but it was not enough to claim the weekly crown, won by former champion Wingz Sports Grill, which posted 63,169 to win the week by 143 points. Well done to both teams.

With one week to go in the 'best 4 of 5' format, here is how the last week will break down. If Walsh's scores below 61.014, it will stand on its current four week total and and Wingz will need to better 62,647 to win the trophy. If Walsh's scores between 61,015 and 64,368, Wingz will have to better Walsh's score by more than 1632 points to win. If Walsh's scores 64,368 or higher they lock out Wingz and win.

All other teams are mathematically eliminated from the title. Congratulations to Time Out in Hanover Park, IL for clinching third place.

If I have made any math errors in the computations above, please let me know and I will correct them. The spreadsheet with all scores will be posted on the Badbart and Friends who Like Buzztime facebook pages.

With the scores so close, it is entirely possible that the tournament could come down to the very last question. Time to puke.

Last game of the 2022 Challenge tomorrow night at the same time as the very important Redskins vs Bears game.

Congrats on Time Out already clinching 3rd place.

Glad to see Walsh’s didn’t have this title locked down yet. Love to see a final that’s competitive.

Good luck to all and my solo player 5 box effort may or may not happen. I may prefer to see Da Bears lose! (On Amazon so I assume very few bars are set up for that) I haven’t tried to watch any of these previous Thur Amazon games out at a bar. Probably not happening most places.

Us Chicago area guys will get a local station to broadcast Da Bears game.
Unfortunately that makes it diffucult for us to get a table at our local Time-Out.
We will do our best to hang in there against those other 2 awesomely awesome bars.

The Buzztime was inoperative at Time-Out yesterday.

Hey Ray, I’m sure Lorin noticed the needed venue change and will count your score from the Loop. We had your team name listed as Chicago Loop/T. O. West from the beginning so all should be fine. You had 3rd clinched anyway.

It seems we also need to use the scores from Zach’s in Little Rock and Herrill Lanes in NY to make everything as complete as it should be. Thanks Lorin for the extra work.

I have to thank Lorin for his work in taking over the scoring this year. I have been busy, out of town and just lazy about the whole Challenge this year. I apologize to all for not posting much once we started. I guess it came down to whoever picked these weeks for the tourney when I was busy. Oh right that was me….and Lorin. Wouldn’t have mattered score wise with just me playing. (Or not playing)

In Ocean City MD for 2 weeks with no BT sites within 20 miles. We used to have 5 here.

How ‘bout them Redskins! One bobbled catch away from losing a terrible, sloppy, but entertaining in the 4th Q, game.

Oh right and a little other thing to mention….congrats to Walsh’s on winning the 2022 Mudee Thursday SIX Challenge. They won last night, far ahead of Wingz who ends up 2nd in the Challenge. TO West/Chicago Loop takes 3rd. Lorin will have final order in a while.

Indeed, Walsh's Bar & Grill in Westmont, IL, led wire to wire and cruised to their third consecutive and fifth overall MUDEE Six Challenge. Wingz Sports Grill of Brunswick, OH finished second and Time Out West/Chicago Loop in Hanover Park and Steamwood, IL took third.

In Week 5, Walsh's scored 61,059 to set the pace nationally for the fourth time in five weeks. Overall, Walsh's scored 309,034 in the five weeks of the tournament (61,807 avg.) and 248,020 (62,005 avg.) in their best four weeks. Second place Wingz, after closely shadowing Walsh's for the first four weeks, fell off the pace with a 51,810 score in the final week, bringing their five week total to 297,228 (59,446 avg.), but with drop the lowest week scoring rules scored 245,418 over their best four weeks (61,355 avg.), only losing the tournament by 2602 points, an average of 520/night over the best four weeks. Time Out/Chicago Loop finished third, only sixth in overall scoring but averaging 56,841 when you drop their anomalous first week.

I believe I have entered all the scores in switching locations for the Time Out, Grumpy's and Lighthouse teams. Complete spreadsheet will be posted on facebook on the Friends Who Like Buzztime and BadBart pages. Please let me know if I have made any arithmetic errors and I will correct them. Thanks to Bud as always for serving as Commissioner and thanks to all teams for participating. More fun next year!

very good tournament merkin. you have been the best team all year and you were the best team in this tournament. i want to thank all the teams that have played this year. i'm sure it is very difficult to field a team these days and those that did it deserve credit for their commitment.

Don’t forget Lorin, when the new plaque is on please get a team pic and a closeup pic of the trophy to post here and FB.

Let’s see how you carefully space out this critical 5th plaque of the 8 that will go on the the front panel. Some spares could help you figure the symmetrical spacing for plaques 5, 6, 7 and 8. Obviously copy the spacing from the 1st through 4th side. We can’t have sloppy plaques on such a nice trophy. I know you’ll get it right.
