Last night the game was working fine at Walsh's, but, as happens now and then, the scores did not compile nationally. Scores and results, therefore, from Walsh's, calculated from photos of final scores there:

Tuned In: 8469 2nd, congratulations Wingz
Words: 8178 3rd, congratulations Stavros
Six 58821 1st, yippee (top board 61047, congratulations Idjit for top board)
Topix 10621 4th, congratulations Wingz again

I like how the previous night the 9 boxes at Teasers knocked my solo national #2 down to #10.

They could consider making a separate division for "1st of 1"'s

Congrats on winning SIX, well done, though no one saw it. :mrgreen:

Lorin, for Topix, you may have severely overstated Walsh's 4th place calculation. The smaller, way understaffed teams try hard to beat the behemoths where they can. I believe you have tried to Steal 4th place away from a very deserving small team of 2 that enjoys Holiday Music. 8-) That same very small team took 2nd for Holiday TV on Fri Topix. Where was Walsh's on Fri? Still not reporting out? Or too cold to get out of the house?

So Walsh's would slot in at 5th not 4th with a 10621. Belated Happy Hanukkah good Buddy!

Walsh’s is definitely still down. No play since Mon Dec 19 when Richy K was playing remotely. He probably broke it.

Walsh’s is not showing in the sitefinder meaning they are not connected to the network. More than just not reporting out. They need to check the bar internet and then reboot. If that fails call BT to run some tests. Maybe the whole internet froze in Westmont over Christmas. :lol:

Very sorry for my most inadvertent calculation robbing SGP of their rightful fiv point win. :D Cold in Chicago was overrated, but we shut it down for the holiday weekend last Friday and did not play. REturning to the wars tonight.

And to update:

The system at Walsh's continues to be out (and may be for some time). On Friday, we played the questions that came up and had a great time.

On Thursday, a mixed team of myself, Reb from TimeOut and Zarge, Cray and Nmless from Teasers played at Teasers and won Sports, TV, Topix and Glory Daze while finishing second in Quotes and Six. Congrats to Wingz on the Six win.

And to update again:

The system at Walsh's continued to be out on Jan 5, leading 4 of us to go to Crosstown, where there were six boards working at the beginning of the night. Five lost their charges and I ended up with one for Glory Daze. With our shrinking team as boards when out, we got top board in Six but not top bar.

The good news is that by Friday, Walsh's was working again, so we can get down to business again on Thursday nights.

Stained Glass Pub Silver Spring fell to this strange affliction as well for 5 days. 6th - 10th. Rebooting did no good. Buzztime was finally able to fix the problem remotely after several days of not knowing what was wrong. Strange gremlins in the system. Not liking this new trend.

So on Sat we went to the other Stained Glass Pub in Elkridge MD. Got 3rd behind Walsh’s and Lumpys for Playback First Hits. Nice job beating Lumpys.
