2023 MUDEE Thur SIX Challenge #10 starting this fall. The best Fall tournament with the least hassle!

Reigning champs Walsh's which is Lorin/MERKIN and myself Andy/BUD have agreed on the dates for this fall: Thur Sep 21, 28, Oct 5, 12, & 19. Hopefully there won't be any overlap with the Sandbag Showdown dates. Very tough to run 2 tourneys in the same weeks.

Best 4 out of 5 scores. Mostly the same rules as before, remote play is ok as long as All players are logged into 1 bar Only. No outside communication to other bars, No reference look up etc. Any suspect Handles and their score will be removed from a bar score if found to be logged into 2 bars at the same time, as found on Don Denton's website page of double log ins.

If there is a network wide repeat game or glitch that happens at 25% or more of the bars then the tourney will extend for a week, excluding the problem week.

Feel free to sign your team up now if you know you will be playing SIX on Thur this Sept/Oct. Teams of 1 or 2 players are welcome and have played in the past.

These are the top 25 teams by average score according to Don Denton's site. I think all these teams would want to play and not sure why more don't. I guess because they don't know about the Thur SIX Challenge. So if you know any SIX players at these bars please let us know if they are even remotely interested. Many bars we know of play Thur Six each week yet don't bother to play in the tourneys.

Yes, I know ABQ lost the Alein Bar and the other 2 are borgers so exclude them from the list. But ABQ never played in the Challenge so it doesn't really matter there.
Also Herril Lanes is now at Doc's.
Then it looks like Wingz is dead? No play there since July 3rd? Johnny Molloys taking over some of the players?

Consider the possibility of automatically enrolling the top X number of teams, giving any
team that wishes an opt-out, along with volunteers. Buzztime did that in the past with their local tournaments.

Torrey Pines in Las Vegas will play in the Thur Six Challenge. I think this may be the 1st time they have joined in.

That makes 4 bars in. Well, 5 I guess. I should have already put Stained Glass pub Silver Spring in too. Though we (all 2 of us) will probably miss at least one game and possibly more. The 2 of us made it work for Topix last night so we’ll try SIX too.

3 new bars to add to the Mudee Thur Six Challenge #10 that have messaged in the last few days.

Grumpy's Too in Little Rock AR will play, they have played before. Thur regulars for sure.

As is Barley Hopsters in Delaware OH and they are in. Hope they make all the games this year.

The brand new bar is Champions in Cincinnati OH. New entry from FB, don't know anything about them.

We have the 10th bar in this year's Thur SIX Mudee Challenge.

Booker's Bar in S.Elgin IL will play. They were entered by Booker's management through the BT FB page which posted info about the Thur SIX Challenge. So we'll see if any players actually show up. They do have 2 top 100s according to Don's site.

2 weeks to go. Hoping Prof/Blitzed in Tampa will get one of their 2 bars in? Also Johnny Malloys?

I’m afraid Docs and any other remote players will be shit out of luck as BT will be turning off remote play starting this Tues. The current app will be dead and you can play through the new GO app. But it does not allow gps spoofing. It knows and tells you to turn off the gps spoofer app.

Instant loss of 50 to 60% of players.

Right, or as I like to say by oldest, longest running ntn bar which of course is lowest ID number.
Stained Glass Pub Silver Spring is 1671. Very old ntn bar still on blue boxes. Bar opened early 50s and got ntn in late 80s.

The Market at John Hall Store will play. They are from AL and played in the recent McCarthy Cup and did well. 12 bars in. So that’s great that they are doing the cross over to the Mudee Thur Six challenge.

I wonder why other SD teams don’t play Six? I guess they are only good at one game. It doesn’t really matter though because none of them could beat Walsh’s or the other top 3 teams.

It's that time of year again. Defending champion Walsh's condemns all forms of Buzztime cheating including, but not limited to, having players at one location accessing another location through GPS spoofing (or any other means) and learning answers through the time lags involved. To that end, Walsh's disavows any scores entered at Walsh's by known cheater RICHEK, RICECK, THNNOS or any of his boards that may appear on Walsh's scoreboard through GPS spoofing and will remove those scores or any other suspicious scores from tournament calculations.
