Unrelated to the (again, inexcusable) glitch, I have to say I loved the German card suits question. As many folks at my bar know, I play a German card game called Skat. My regulars know I go to a couple of tournaments a year and frequently ask about it. Tonight, (since I was done working) TTSQUZ and I were playing six boxes as a team, but it wasn't anything like our team games on Wednesdays. No one was shouting answers; there were several people playing individually. Nonetheless, when that question came up, about ten people shouted, "Shawn!" in unison. I was able to yell, "Karo, schellen or bells," all before the answers came up. Good fun.

Still tanked the game, though.

The question is, why would they be tweaking the code in the first place?

Although, in all honesty, I wish they'd just break the code for this game and have to go back to the original version. Can you believe they tweaked a premium game and made it worse than the original? Oh wait, Spotlight and Playback. Oops.

while my guess is that this is a glitch, i have no problem if buzztime has decided to eliminate the clues for this round. if you don't know the answer why should you expect to get bailed out by the hint at the end.

It doesn't appear to be a policy change, since the Hint prompt appears at the bottom.

I also would have no problem with it disappearing.

I've got Hoyle Card Games on my computer, and one of the included games I enjoy playing is Skat. The bidding system is rather onerous (especially since the computer players proceed one possible number at a time), but actually playing the cards and planning out your strategy has a good degree of complexity to it

In your tournaments, is any variety of Ramsch used when no player bids on a hand, or do you just throw 'em in and redeal?

I liked it better. It is a minor encouragement for me to actually bother to remember the information, as Six is really the only Premium I play.

I think it was just a glitch both Wed & Thur nights. As someone pointed out the screen still said "HINT:" then was blank next to it. The BT monkey forgot to load the clues in. No big deal.

At Hardtimes on Wed and at BWW Rockville on Thur the players actually liked it better.

NO more clues!! Play it like a man. :P
