Yes, on behalf of my Mr. B's teammates I congratulated BRANDY and her team last night and will do so again now, well done Concert Pub . . . we just got stung by the final; no pre-call but there was immediate general consensus that it was Striptease and Dave Sr. was the only person on American Pie, if he was as persuasive as he once was(uhh, no offense Dave :P ) we would be looking at high 58k and the streak continues . . . oh well, I'm an avid ESPN StreakfortheCA$H player who's used to seeing L1 a lot . . .

Now, now...the fact that I seem to have a few too many episodes of trivia dottiness these days, a topic which provided much general amusement the other night...damn whippersnappers...is fairly irrelevant to the final Spotlight answer. The only reason I had ROONEY on it, really, was that that box was non-Top 5, so why not.

Congrats to Concert Pub. And to my teammates (and our bartender) on a fine streak.

So what was the final question? (yes, that final question that no regular Spotlight player wanted added to the game) :D

It was something like... Which movie had to be submitted four times to the MPAA because it kept getting an NC-17 rating.

I think answer choice 2 was Meet The Parents, 3 was something with Red or Saw in it (I could be wrong), 4 was American Pie, 5 was Showgirls. I forget what choice 1 was.

I think 5 was Striptease and not Showgirls. We had a player remark there wasn't much nudity in Striptease.

Thanks. Considering Showgirls was released as NC-17 the choice was probably Striptease, which as already stated, was very tame. No full nudity or sex scenes whatsoever. Having seen both films (more than once  ) I will answer any question, privately of course.

I seem to remember the NC-17 issue with American Pie being Jim porking the apple pie.

3. Red Dawn (one of the first PG-13 films released other is Dreamscape)

Well, order was again restored, and Mr. B's added an exclamation point :!: by taking #1 in Trendalicious, Reality Food. Image

With a 98 point win over the Houston team, we were thinking...did the Houston Hooters players lose 98 points while being distracted by something else there?

98 pts was too close for comfort, but we'll take it; and since we were without the services of Dave/BYOTCH I'd say that's fair(we will also be without the vacationing BYOTCH next Fri. as well so anyone looking to pounce on a relatively vulnerable Mr. B's, now's your chance) . . .

and about Reality Food . . . being a big Food Network/Top Chef/celebrity chef fan, I wanted that particular Trendalicious game badly(and certainly it's the ONLY "Reality" game I was looking forward to this month), and sure enough was able to precall every answer except the 1 bullshit Q thrown into every topical game that relates to the actual topic in the most marginally tangential way, this 1 on Emeril Lagasse's stupid failed sitcom, congrats to COWGRL for being the only 1 of us who guessed it right . . . and thanks Buzztime for not acknowledging in any way my pointing out the CORRECT answer to the afternoon Twitter game Q "Who was the 1st American chef to *COMPETE* on the orig. Iron Chef?" . . .

I'm sure Brandy lost points due to distraction.

Now THAT was more like it . . . lion's share of the credit to Dave Sr./MR ALE on the final, which he pre-called with about 90% certainty-

Spinal Tap

What song did Spinal Tap sing when visiting Elvis Presley's gravesite?(choices were all Elvis songs, I think??)

Answer: Heartbreak Hotel
