Last night we checked out a new location, On the Rox - Jones Road in Houston. It was a trivia-friendly spot that we'd definitely return to, but instead of last night's scheduled Topix and Trendalicious, we got the two from May 10--Mother/Daughter Actors for Topix and what must have been Mother, May I for Trendalcious as it was similarly mother-themed. We didn't play May 10, so at the least the games weren't repeat content for us, but it certainly made us suspicious as to whether we were playing the same Spotlight as everyone else. The Final in our game was re: who did Elvis Presley's voice in Forrest Gump.
BTW although the player stats and location's game history have our scores, it doesn't look as though they went out on those games, so I couldn't check to see if Topix/Trendalicious were properly identified as repeats. We did get rankings for those and the preceding/following Countdown games, but none for Spotlight. And to top off the evening, a player I'd previously liked from other locations (who I just confirmed played on May 10) acted like they weren't repeat games, and while beating us (which only rarely happens on fresh content games) "gave" us a few answers. That guy will never have my respect again.
