Had a couple of nail-biting finishes already in 2016. Last night, my team at Walsh's won by five points over Rockin Crepes. Two weeks ago, BWW Gaithersburg won by eight points in a brutal game over Stadium Cafe. Can anyone recall if there's been a team win by less than five points in Spotlight? Hard to imagine it getting any closer or more competitive, but I was curious.

I don't know about Spotlight, but the record for the closest win ever for any premium game--and indeed the closest win possible for any premium game--was set by Sullivan's Laurel over Inside Out in Madison, AL on May 19, 2009. On the surface, it looked like they tied at 60,285, but Sullivan's was ranked #1 because when you added up the top six scores for each team, Sullivan's combined score before averaging was a single point higher. Thus, Sullivan's won the game by 1/6 of a point. Don Denton's record for that game is here:

I suppose if you really wanted to, you could find the closest Spotlight finish by poring through Don's archives for the game. Have fun:

I've gone through 2013 and 2014 records and I found a one-point margin of victory on July 26, 2013. Old Town Tavern in California beat TGI Friday's in Dayton 60,116 to 60,115.

This should say, any current premium game. :D

Had a Sports IQ tie back in '06 that was likely decided by ~0.1 points.

Wait, back in 2006 EGGMAN, LEWSER, and JETHRO decIded who won SIQ.

I remember back in 03 EGGMAN and I had a 3 week stretch when we played at Boiler Room where we won by 29, 36, and 40ish bar score in SIQ. If we are going to go close calls we might as mention blowouts (don't give me the 7k victory by that asshole in Ohio in STC, it was a clear case of him being s cheating fuck like BUG)

wow, 10 years ago...

RIP EGGMAN I still love you bro

To paraphrase Lionel Twain:
"Use your god damn hyphens!"

Allow me to illustrate the proper usage of kid-fucking.
Hmmmm.... probably not the best title for my autobiography...
