Spotlight 6/18/2010

Congratulations to Aces & Eights for their Spotlight win.

Certainly there were more than a few surprises this week, not the least of which was the lil group at Gilly's Bar making their first top ten in way more than a lil while, and only a lil ways behind the usual #1 Mr. B's.

Another was the glaring absence of the usual top three Old Town Tavern.

I helped SNAKE n gang at St Louis Sports Zone for a #6 place.

Stupid Glee question. 6 of us playing at TD Homers had a great game going and completely blew the final. None of us had ever watched Glee. I couldnt even say what channel it is on...Hindsight should have gone with Madonna out of those choices but we bombed. Otherwise, we would have been top 10 (think we would have been 6th).

Great job Aces & 8s!

It was just RAN D and I at In the Zone. I called the final immediately (I don't watch Glee but recently read about the Madonna connection) - too bad we had terrible year and matching rounds :oops:

One of our crew watched Glee and knew it right away but one or two of us second guess and went to Kiss.

Oy. Having no pre-calls, someone called out Journey when the answers came up, and we stayed on it until it disappeared, going to Madonna at that point. Good for maybe 20% points and #33. Being even more exhausted than usual, I think a vague Madonna bell went off in my head when I saw the choices, but I was unable to spit out anything helpful or coherent. I'm fairly certain we had hosed our scores enough by then in any case.
