Paraphrased, as usual
(not necessarily in the correct order)

Q1: "I May Hate Myself In The Morning" (LEE ANN WOMACK)

Q2: Dolly Parton lyrics... (JOLENE)

Q3: Faith Hill covered this Janis Joplin song: (PIECE OF MY HEART)

Q4: Loretta Lynn, "You're The Reason Our Kids Are _____" (UGLY)

Q5: In a Carrie Underwood song, she doesn't know a guy's ___________ (LAST NAME)

Q6: Reba McEntire & Linda Davis duet: (DOES HE LOVE YOU)

Q7: 2014 CMA Awards, Song Of The Year went to Kacey Musgraves' (FOLLOW YOUR ARROW)

Q8: Miranda Lambert, "The House _______________" (THE BUILT ME)

Q9: Which mode of transportation is mentioned in a Sara Evans song? (GREYHOUND BUS)

Q10: The title of Shania Twain's debut album: (THE WOMAN IN ME)

Encore:

Q: "Like We Never Had A Broken Heart" is found on which Trisha Yearwood album?

1. Hearts In Armor
2. Fireflies
3. Trisha Yearwood
4. Moonglow
5. Jasper County

Correct Answer: (TRISHA YEARWOOD)

Given the choices, 33% chance you get it right if you can kick out the two obvious wrong answers. But given that only four bars broke 40k, it looks like all the other locations fell into the 67% chance of getting it wrong (as did we, after running the other ten questions  )

I am confused, was there no way a Katy Perry question made it into that round?

Nope! Didn't mention 'debut' but the year 1995 so as not to create an argument of her early supporters/Canadian players that her earlier album was 'Shania Twain'.

factoid was something mentioning 'She co-wrote it with her husband Garth Brooks'.
Glad I didn't see that as I would have gone for another album as they didn't get married for 10+ years later.
I figured 'Trisha Yearwood' would be her first and Buzztime has used that strategy with 'The Eagles' to make it feel like you're dumb if you don't guess what you know must be a real album of the artist/not what could be by someone else. Then you feel stupid when it is so obvious. Most likely first albums are named "artist's name here" with a few exceptions. I couldn't 'sell' that to my friends so we split but my two boards carried the bar to 10th.
