The Beatles were already used before.

OTOH, the Rolling Stones were used twice (the only artist specific Headliner so far ever to be used twice).

Ironically, I heard "Free As A Bird" on the radio today. (It's obviously not uncommon to hear a Beatles song on the radio, but I wonder how often that one gets played :? )

I'll look for my own omens.

I overshot a program on my PVR earlier this week and had about half of the 'Classic Albums' episode on The Band's-The Band album.--and I erased it without watching.

Also I'm down to my last Robbie Robertson postage stamp!

Anyone know what the Encore question was for the Christmas Eve game?

"The Last Waltz" was just on Paladia the other day.

I have this feeling that half the bar's TVs will be welded onto the NHL hockey game and the other half to the World Junior hockey game
and so there won't be a TV available for Playback.

Can someone back me up?

I'll be on here early tomorrow to say whether I got the Encore question and answers or not and got to play at all.

Happy New Year!

It was the Beatles, and a very easy Headliner/Encore set IMHO. The last time they did them was a bit more sweat-inducing.

Probably the hardest question of the bunch asked us to name the fourth track on Sgt. Pepper.

I did get to play. The headliner was The Beatles...nothing about The Ed Sullivan show for the third time but they did repeat the 'song that finishes with the 42 second piano chord' which was once an Encore.

I had to piece Q6 to 10 together as I'd stopped my micro recorder during the break so the order and wording isn't exact.

I'll have things posted in the next few days.

Nice game from Pittsburgh, tough questions to get a 79K on

My eyes lit up when seeing the final question, Magical Mystery Tour was one of my 1st three albums ever buying (besides Archies and Partridge Family) :)

Answers:

1 Hello Goodbye
2 All You Need Is Love
3 Penny Lane
4 Come Together
5 The Fool On The Hill

^Was this really the order of the answer choices at your bar? Come Together was definitely Answer Choice 2 at our bar.
I think The Fool On The Hill was Answer Choice 4.

I'm just wondering if buzztime has decided to do something different (shuffling the choices at each bar) for the new year.

Assuming that they have, then that could be a simple and effective solution to mobile device shenanigans. Image

I'll go with my order. I dictated the possible answers twice as usual in case there's any loud noises in the bar.

Interesting. It was definitely different at our bar. (I recapped the game, too, just in case you weren't able to play). The choices in our bar were:

1 All You Need Is Love
2 Come Together
3 Hello Goodbye
4 The Fool On The Hill
5 Penny Lane

BTW, here's the correct order of the last five questions:

6. 'Yesterday' was the first Beatles song to use:--A string quartet...

7. What was the fourth song on 'Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club
Band'?--Getting Better (the only song actually on that album)...

8. Who was the original drummer for their Hamburg tour?--Pete Best...

9. What Beatles song ends with a 42 second piano chord?--A Day In The Life...

10. What kind of car was on the 'Abbey Road' album cover?--Volkswagon
