I know my preference, but they've already done early 90s once, maybe twice...

No reason to get off the couch this week.

If it's 2011 it will be like the old OnBeat round they used to have before they changed the game format.

OnBeat used to bother me because the topics were mainly what happened in music this week which I could read about in Billboard at the newsstand about a week AFTER the game.

Now that I have home delivery its a bit faster but still too late but now there's their Internet site.

At the end of the year, as I'd remember, they'd gather up their toughest questions and repeat them on a week in the next January some time.

That's why I'd go with 2011.

^I don't know, I think buzztime is always looking for a reason to toss in the obligatory "Losing My Religion" question...so 1991 fits their cause.

OTOH, that could just be wishful thinking since we know which one fits their "target demographic"

Which year was the closest to the "heyday" of Jesus and Mary Chain?

Well, if it's 2011, you can pretty much guarantee I'll get a 0 in the final round. :/

Here's the Encore question/answers and Headliner round for the topic '2001'.

If you had never heard of this cover song and just relied on an expert knowledge of Michael Jackson you'd have reason to gripe about the
wording of the question for the year involved. 1987 when the song was written or the end of 1988 when the single was released or 1989
when the song peaked in the charts?

Funny but earlier this week I looked up the lyrics to 'Dog Eat Dog' by Adam & the Ants (yeah different group).

Also my friend didn't like the Opening Act question (pound key round) when they asked:
Which star was NOT born in 1942? and displayed the order something like:

Jim Croce (really born in 1943) which he guessed.
Paul McCartney (right)
Paul Simon (really born in 1941)
someone I can't remember
Bill Haley (really born in 1925) which NTN gave as the right answer (glad I waited to see this)

My friend changed at the second pass, but I was waiting for someone well out of line and got it for 1000.
Was this the exact wording of the question or was it 'close to 1942'?

The Headliner round was brutal.

I'm just thankful they stopped the bleeding there and threw a bone for Encore.

BTW, the Encore answer in our bar was 4...so it looks like buzztime is definitely shuffling the order of the answer choices at each bar now.

Looks like staying home and watching The Green Mile again was a good decision.

I MIGHT have gotten the Tori Amos question right...and that's a big MIGHT.
