First Lady Gaga, which was in a May 13, 2011 Trendalicious Lovely Ladies game. Now Stone Temple Pilots, which was in an October 15, 2010 Topix Bud Light Port Paradise game.

So I guess is gonna be a STP game with 4 less questions.

They have run out of ideas...despite my suggestions to them about Prog Rock, Classical, Blues, etc.

Either that, or they lifted CLARK's idea. Gotta give him props for hitting that one:

Okay, how about Alice in Chains, Smashing Pumpkins, or Tool next week.....

We played repeat games all night from last week except for the Playback game which had the first four rounds of last week's game but then
the Headliner and Encore round of '2001' instead of last week's '1975'. The 2001 topic was played not too long ago with the Encore being
Alien Ant Farm covering Michael Jackson's 'Smooth Criminal'.

So.....would someone please post the Encore question/answer and Headliner round? Thanks.

Also does anyone know how we can reconnect to the main network if this happens again given that the managers/tech guys only work days?

I will attempt to write the recap below, not sure the order of the questions:

1) From what city did Alice in Chains hail?
2) What is the title of Alice in Chain's debut album?
3) Who is Alice in Chains drummer?
4) Rooster is from which album?
5) Finish the title of the EP, Jar of _____
6) In which song do they sing "I feel so all alone"?
7) What animal is on the cover of "Alice in Chains" self-titled album?
8) On No Excuses, finish the lyrics, Everyday is something, hits me _______
9) Which song on Black Gives Way to Blue made it on the Hot 100 singles chart?
10) Which song wasn't on their "Greatest Hits" CD?

Final Question: Which song was from the "Singles" movie/soundtrack?

Answers:
1) Seattle 2) Facelift 3) Sean Kinney 4) Dirt 5) Flies 6) Them Bones 7) dog 8) all so cold
9) Check My Brain 10) God AM

Final Answer: Would?

You're right they picked my first choice... Bad news, Fletchers apparently knows the group as well :{ Rest of the game had some tough questions sprinkled in...

I think our neighbors to the north were playing Restore Order

Last night confirmed just how fast news gets around in the cell phone age. All the TVs in our bar were set to sports games so we didn't see a crawl about Whitney all night. But during Topix, my cell phone was blowing up. My immediate thought was, "Something big must be happening. My cell phone hasn't blown up like this since when Michael Jackson died." When I finally checked my messages at the end of the game, the fears were realized  I then broke the news to my teammates and they reacted the same way I did. Initially they were stunned, but not all that surprised given that she could never kick her drug habit (thanks a lot, Bobby Brown  )

IIRC, the last time a singer south of 50 died right near the Playback game, it was when Aaliyah died in 2001. On that night, we had no idea that she passed until we got home and saw it on the news. News gets around much quicker now than it did even just a decade ago.

The very next game, we noticed that someone put up the salute handle RIP WH during Speed Freaks. We thought was pretty impressive. XDJ then said: "Now if buzztime puts up 'what popular singer died today' during this next Playback game, I'll be REALLY impressed!"

Fifteen minutes after Playback started, someone played a Whitney song on the jukebox. The very next song after that was Bobby Brown's "My Prerogative." The second the Bobby Brown song started playing, the entire bar in unison reacted with loud booing & cursing. That was the most impressive moment of the night. I'll never forget that one.
