REALLY???? Funny they didn't air out the choices tonight.

Brent Bourgeois has only 2 hit tunes "I Don't Mind at All" with the band and "Dare to Fall in Love" solo

Sorry Mitch, I was kidding. I heard Bourgeois Tagg on the radio and went with it. :lol:

The Headliner for March 24 will be one of the following:

* Back Street Boys
* *NYNC
* New Kids On The Block

Words just can't describe how I feel right about now, and I am going to apologize to anyone
who, uh, "enjoys" listening to these groups. Hey, different strokes for different folks. As for myself,
I am going to seek out an NTN location, go inside, grab a box, bring said box outside and starting
smashing it into a million pieces with a baseball bat. That's how I feel right about now. I mean, unless
CLARK goaded them into posting this and then they'll wait for Thursday to post the real choices.

It shouldn't be *NSYNC as they didn't spell their name right.

Whoa, buddy, don't blame me on this one (remember I got us Alice and Chains at least).. Their motto this year is to give the customers what they don't want...

I could have sworn I saw these as the choices not too long ago. I checked back through November and didn't see them. Maybe I'm wrong. One thing I'm right about is that we're going to a non-trivia bar for the evening.

I admit I liked The New Kids on the Block in 1988 but then again I was in 7th grade. Didn't follow them much after then and surely don't know the other two.

The good news is that this is a no brainer. Now, if it turned out to be NStync, The Backstreet Boys, and, say, Yes, I'd almost be forced to go out only to be disappointed by a NStync Headliner round.

Well, GIRLIE might like one these choices. Or at least one particular member of one of these mispelled [sic] groups :P

[Insert LILJOL comment here] :lol:

Teenagers who listened to them when they were current are now in their early 30's. Today's teens were in diapers when they were current and no oldies station plays them. And this demographic will be playing where?
Wonder if this Headliner Round Choice will affect the previous four rounds?

You mean other than making people look back on them fondly with a wistful sigh as the eighth or ninth question about these headliners comes bludgeoning in like a ball peen hammer to the skull?
No?
Then probably not much... :D

I was playing Spotlight a couple months ago at the usual watering hole. I was the only one playing trivia...presumably because everyone else was asleep :P Sitting at a table near the jukebox were a half dozen girls, who I assumed were in their mid to late 20s. They were playing Backstreet Boys and 'N Sync songs on the jukebox all night long.

<While I was repeatedly banging my head against the playmaker all night long> :evil:

Obviously, buzztime is chasing those six girls. But I can't imagine any of them would ever pick up a playmaker.

It's even worse trying to read factoids about them. To remove that stain, you might have to join al-qaeda to get 72 virgins. I can see the headlines now: Buzztime Breeds Terrorism! :lol:

Most definitely...Let's Go Pens!

NKOTB was the subject......I got my albums confused on one question or I would've breezed through Headliner and Encore.

New Kids On The Block! Encore: early cover song of theirs which made the Top 10.

So people who have never heard of this group have a 50-50 chance of guessing right if they know the Delfonics song...."La La La Means I Love You" or "Didn't I Blow Your Mind This Time", the only Delfonics choices offered.

If they had a headliner about the Delfonics, you guys would complain about that too. Aren't the 1960s in your wheelhouse? Even the guys from Steely Dan would have had a chance. Remember after their Grammy win they said they haven't listened to any music since 19seventy something? Then the music business realized (my thinking) "well no-one will buy any NEW music and we'll all be unemployed so let's blackball these guys". :P

Add:....will post recap by Sunday night.

I'm not a PB player so maybe I shouldn't be the one to respond to this, but I would rather miss 11 Delfonics questions than get 11 NKOTB answers correct.
But I'm stubborn and have great musical taste. That's my curse... :mrgreen:
