That's why it's Blake..... He's not way too recent

George had a #1 hit last year.

Even though he's been on hiatus for most of the 2000s, I'll still be surprised if its not Garth. You have to remember the premium games are in recycle mode right now, that phase that happens a couple times a year, and of the three, Garth probably has the most questions in the existing database.

Not a complaint, as we ran the Headliner round, but just an observation...

Question 3 of the Headliner round was which song was Blake's debut single. The answer choices were all Blake songs, with three of the choices being at/near the start of his career.

Then the Encore question asks for the title of his 2003 sophomore album, and the answer choices were: his 2003 album, his 2010 album, his 2013 album, and two Tim McGraw albums.

I think we can all agree which of those questions was the more difficult question.

Now I've never understood how buzztime decides what to do with the encore question. Sometimes it's a softball over the heart of the plate, sometimes it's a fastball right in the chin. Most of the time, it's somewhere in between.

But I've never seen a final Spotlight question or final Showdown question where two of the answer choices were completely obvious throwaway answers. One, yes. But two? That's a real stretch for a premium game.

Blake Shelton it was. Mitch was right on who bt would pick. Nailed all the headliners thanks to Opiee and Freezer.
