Yacht Rock tonight. Could be an interesting one for those that enjoy frozen drinks and the 70s/80s. Don’t be confused by Styx’s Come Sail Away and Sailing by Christopher Cross. So Steal Away tonight in your imaginary yacht and have a Pina Colada at your local Buzztime bar to see what Tom D has come up with for the Yacht Rock headliner. |

Fun game last night for Yacht Rock. Good stuff in there, covered the right years and the right content. Thank God there was no Michael Jackson as some say is Yacht Rock. Opiee crushed the soft rock and we at Oliver’s Laurel MD easily took the win over Lumpys. Stained Glass Pub is still dead as they try to convert over to the new no box system. Been dead since July 13th. We were supposed to be getting a new blue box system computer but they sent the no box system instead. No luck with getting the internet to stay connected to it. Goes out in 10 mins. It’s a bar internet setup problem involving the internet based music system. Oliver’s is the place for now. |

That was the game I wanted to play, I requested it in fact. I was in South Bend that night watching NIU beat Notre Dame. Glad to hear no Michael Jackson posing as Yacht Rock. Is there still a site out there that posts the questions of played games? I'd love to see how I would have done. |

Hey Big Tuna, I don’t remember much of the questions on yacht rock anymore. But they were good ones as I do recall that little. There isn’t any recap of Playback or any BT games anywhere that I know of. That boat is sitting docked and waiting on someone to do a few games. CSNY this week. We might play at Olivers Laurel MD as Stained Glass Pub is dead and likely to drop BT soon. The new no box system does not work on their internet. Too many other internet things like pandora music and streaming TVs cause BT to disconnect constantly. The old blue box system ran fine but the computer broke and BT is no longer replacing them. BT has been trying to help troubleshoot by phone but our bar owner is now less than interested in doing anything. 35 years of having Buzztime at this bar is probably over. This looks like it should be a thread. |

This looks like it should be a thread. Torrey Pines Pub in Vegas has new ownership. Years ago, I was told that the owner would keep Buzztime until there was no more Buzztime. I hope the new owners feel the same way. They still have the blue boxes. (And yes, I love what you did with the Yacht Rock reference for someone to keep track of questions! Nice job.) |
