I'll be holding my weekly vigil here until the Topics are released. Anyone up for a few rounds of Kumbaya?

Sure would be nice if they could get this to us on Wednesday.

I'd be happy if they'd just pick a day and stick to it.

It certainly keeps the website page views up at the buzztime site, for people like me checking every hour or two for the headliners once it gets to be about Wednesday afternoon. Maybe that's the point. But it would be great if they would just post that on facebook or something.

Yeah, the Q2 Results conference call did say ---> "Will try to drive more people to the website."

That's one way to do it :lol: Probably not the ideal way :roll:

The Headliner for October 9 will be one of the following:

* Rap
* R&B
* Jazz

No joy for any of these from me. Booo :(

Yo! These topics are @#$% :lol:

Why not something instead like:

Football Songs
"Fall" Songs
First Hits

Too bad buzztime doesn't have a forum where they can hear our voices :roll:

Maybe all of the songs could reference BEER, since the Beer TOPIX didn't show up at my site last night.

It is my wife and my 39th wedding anniversary, so I won't be there. Not that it matters, since I am lucky to know 5 playback answers at the most in any Playback game. If it wasn't for the cards and friends I would never play the game since I am so damn ignorant when it comes to music. However, I have enough ego to think I know a little something about R&B and Jazz. If the timing is right maybe I can talk my wife into coming up to the bar. Poor chance of that. She hates Trivia.

I would have loved to tried my hand at Jazz...

Probably would have found R&B to be okay...

So I went out to play, and got stuck with Rap, which shouldn't even BE in a music game.

Well the headliner was RAP! One of my stronger subjects. From my point of view of someone who follows and listens to rap, I thought the questions were pretty tough and well worded. I myself got 9 of the 10 and the final. Managed a 51k which I was happy with. Sadly when answering the final, I was switching back and forth between 3 and 4 and got 3 of my 5 boxes right. I was surprised to see my location average 5th.. But from what I saw, it was brutal to many

The question I missed was the rapper from England, had no clue.

Congrats to the winners on a tough Playback game!

Could've told us the question n answer

The question was "What rapper is mismatched with his album title"

Can't remember the choices or answer besides

a. Kanye West - "Graduation" (knew this one)

3 locations garnered half the possible points. 19 locations garnered 25% of the possible points. Simply awesome.

Imagine the outrage if 3 locations cracked 32k in Showdown.

Well... I imagine if they had 11 straight rap questions to end Showdown, cracking 32K would be the least of everyone's concerns...
I understand your beef. But it's awkward trying to compare specialist games with multi-category games. Specialist games should be accordingly more difficult by their very definition.
Monday's STC was brutal, but with the exception of some jackass in the Hoosier state, no one made much of a stink.

My problem isn't with the category, rap is a part of music no different than Britney Spears. My issue is with the design, or should I say redesign of the game. A redesign that nobody thought was necessary.

But I'm sick of beating my head against the wall on asinine changes, it's not like it's going to do any good. I'll just continue to play less and less.

Thank GOD we didn't try to play on Sat. RAP is crap and we would have guessed on every single question. But I'm sure all the BWWs had numerous new idiot faces reading the qs but not caring to get a box because they were too busy in their phones.

The good news is there shouldn't be another rap genre game for about year.

LOL! My buddy Vern and I were saying that we were good on Britney Spears and Rap for at least the next month!

Here's the Encore and Headliner questions and answers for the Rap round. Only four right last week. Only category I could have done
worse in is Jazz.
