Randy Newman
Paul Simon
Neil Young

I'm surprised I didn't get much flack from the Mrs. with Neil Young being a choice this week...although it is HER cousins celebrating their 50th anniversary on Saturday. Therefore, it will be Neil Young.

OTOH, it was Paul Simon's birthday on Wednesday.

Does anyone want to make a pitch for Randy Newman?

I am rooting for Paul Simon. Bet there are questions on "One Trick Pony", his SNL spoof of Billy Jack, and marriages of Carrie Fisher and Edie Brickell.

I just don't see how they can put together 11 questions for Randy Newman. I know he has been known a lot lately for songwriting and producing, but those would be tough questions!

They put together 15 for Stone Temple Pilots on Topix.

Holy good god! Mitch that avatar is awesome. I won't give people props on avatars, but that reminded me of the Barkley's dog (LOBO).

3 days of studying Randy Newman non-stop, all for nothing :)

Nice job as usual for Fletchers on what I thought was tough game all around.. Had no clue on final question, but luckily one of of our guys had the Graceland album and recognized the lyrics..

I stopped into a BT bar in Frisco, CO after fishing one day a few years back & happened to run into LOBO's owner.

I let him know how much the photo of the dog playing 5 PMs cracked me up every time I saw it. That dog looked serious!

Does anyone remember what choices #3 and #4 were? I have the recap except for those two choices. Since we had no clue on the final, I didn't have time to write down those two.

Or I should say, mostly no clue...JEFF finally yelled/blurted out 1 with about two seconds left on the timer, but I had no idea what the hell he was trying to do at that point so I didn't switch my boards. He's the only one of us that has Graceland. He explained his thought process after the question was over. If we had about five more seconds on that question, we would've been okay.

Our finish does nothing but add more fuel to BO's fire. If we had gotten all five boards on the final, we would've finished 3rd. With two boards on the final, we still get 6th. You're going to be penalized a hell of a lot more than just three places in the rankings if you only get two boards on the final question in Showdown or Spotlight...
