The Headliner for November 13 will be one of the following:

* INXS
* Duran Duran
* Depeche Mode

--
As much I wanted to marry every member of Duran Duran at some point in junior high, this isn't a group of artists I'm going to go out of my way to answer questions about...

I was in high school when these band were the biggest things going. I didn't like them then, and unlike other bands from my high school years that I grew to enjoy, I don't like them now.

I like INXS and Depeche Mode, but I actually don't care for '80s Duran Duran. The only material I like from them is their early '90s hits. Given that I'm pretty sure it'll be Duran Duran, I think I'll find something else to do tomorrow night (sounds like a good excuse anyway ;) ).

Remember the Duran Duran video for "The Reflex" was filmed at the old Maple Leaf Gardens in Toronto with me in attendance.
The tidal wave that washed through the crowd was just a special effect.

Headliner turned out to be INXS, for those who care. Questions were fairly easy. Sorry I don't have the questions but they were all actually INXS-related. :lol:

Congrats to Fletchers on the win. We had split our SoCal team over two different sites (that came in #3 and #5), but not sure we could have caught them anyway with those scores. We'll be back in business at Mr. B's for the next few weeks :)

Thanks so much for your summaries every week. I enjoy reading them even if I played and I really enjoy them if I missed the game.

How do you (and other recorders) keep track of the questions during the game for this summary and still play the game at the same time (and drink and eat and talk to friends)? I am in awe. Do you just take notes or take pictures/video of the screen or what?

I never thought of taking pics of the screen! I just imagined Robin sitting there trying to shorthand the questions on a stenographer pad.

There was a guy on an old message board used to record the whole game on video.

I just talk into a microrecorder and play it back later.

Whatever happened to HAPPY anyway? Anyone heard from him lately?

Well, it's easier if you have no more than 3 people on your team. That gives me enough room to scribble shorthand down on paper, receipts, napkins, whatever I can find (although there's not enough room to eat food during premium games). On the rare instances we actually do have more people than that, then I don't have enough room to scribble during the game.

He is married now, I was at the wedding. He hardly ever plays at all, he is busier with better stuff.

When I did recaps years ago, I would use the VCR at the bar and record it on my own tapes and transcribe after I sobered up.
