Good idea Rockin' Robin!

I have not yet seen prog rock represented. How about either progressive rock as a generic category, or one of the better known prog rock bands as a specific category: Yes, Emerson Lake and Palmer, King Crimson. Anybody who releases an album with only three songs should be represented!

Two bands did that recently like The Band Perry (Country) and Foster the People (alternative rock)

As for potential headliner: RUSH!!!!!!!!!!! as well Styx and ELO.

They did Pearl Jam as a headliner already and managed to screw up one of the questions.

Apparently, I should have put a disclaimer that I have only been playing Playback for about 1.5 years so those 2 probably were before that. Do you remember what the Springsteen Final Question was?

All of the following were on Born in the USA except:

My Hometown
All the Way Home
Glory Days
I'm On Fire
Dancing in the Dark

Even someone who is a casual Springsteen fan could get this no-brainer.

Thanks. Definitely was a Slam Dunk. Yet weeks I play, I get saddled with old country bullshit...

Could be (it would follow the trend), since they went old for the last two (Rolling Stones, Barbra Streisand) and modern day (Black Eyed Peas) for the last one.

I want the happy medium between those two. Anything 1980s, please!

If Ray Conniff is a headliner, I'm going to look for about 8 feet of rope. :(

I'd like to see Fleetwood Mac - (although I am still mad about the "Albatross" question they included in the "1969" game last year).

He hasn't dropped much in 13 years (I have the 1996 edition). He was #8 that year. Lawrence Welk (who he'd be paired with) was #15 that year.

It looks like Whitburn's rankings highly favor quantity of charted albums. Mantovani had 49 charted albums, twelve which made the top, one #1, and seven that went gold.

Welk, in comparison, had 40 charted albums, ten which made the top 10, one #1 and two that went gold.

From the NTN website, here are the remaining May and all of June 2015 Headliners for Playback:
--------
Upcoming Headliners:

May 23: Jazz Legends
May 30: Rush
June 6: Jimmy Buffett
June 13: The 80s
June 20: Mariah Carey
June 27: Pop Hits
--------

I'm fine with The 80's, and Pop Hits.

I will definitely stay at home on June 6th. :P
