We were doing pretty well through the first ten, but the last five kicked our collective asses. Congrats to Stadium on the win.

Thanks.

Was curious to know what others thought of that last question counting the vowels in the answer choices. Although we all got above 800 on it, it's in no way a trivia question. More of a puzzle question. Personally, I enjoy questions like that, but it's not pure trivia. BB seems to throw one of those in on occasion.

What was the question?

The total number of vowels in the answer choices; the answer was "NINE".

I believe the choices were FIVE, SIX, SEVEN, EIGHT, NINE.

Okay, what exactly was the question? With the choices above, you have four correct answers.

In those five words, you have a total of nine vowels. Thus, the correct choice is NINE. You just had to count them as quickly as possible, making it impossible, as far as I can tell, to get a full 1000 points for the answer.

I have said for years that trivia is a game of quick recall, not calculation, so I don't care for it.

(I get stronger against calculation as inverse relationship to sobriety).

I actually counted the vowels quickly enough to hit nine for 1000 points, then re-counted eight and changed my answer. To the mirth of all those who were playing/watching at the bar. Doh.

Sounds like something I would do.

It's not horrible.
It's just not trivia.
Apparently the writer momentarily confused Brainbuster with Cranium,
certainly anatomically understandable.
