I'm still waiting on a couple of confirmations (as indicated in the "Pending" category below). These are teams that expressed interest during the signup period but haven't finalized their location. The rest are all confirmed: Adam’s Mill— Manchester, CT Blue Goose—Sharonville, OH BWW Crystal City — Arlington, VA BWW Overland Park, KS Coaches Pub— Houston, TX Dagwoods— Tampa, FL Diamond Lil’s— Roselle, IL Four Corners—Chapel Hill, NC Fox and Hound— Albuquerque , NM Henry Hudson’s, Oklahoma City, OK Heroes—Wichita, KS KC’s Time Out Bar and Grill— Evansville, IN Mad River—New York, NY Meriden AOH— Meriden, CT Scooter’s— Las Vegas, NV Stadium Café--- Dallas, TX Stringz & Wings— Streetsboro, OH Tailgate Sports Cafe—Minneapolis, MN Teaser’s---Chicago, IL The Concert Pub— Houston, TX Touch of Class—Edmonton, AB West Park Station— Cleveland, OH Pending: former Jilly's team (Maryland) LaClede (St. Louis, MO) I haven't heard lately from the NTN/BT rep who had offered to help both with scorekeeping and prizes beyond the trophy. As I don't have access to the guest scores, the scores used will be the team average as reported on the NTN/BT website (which as we know does not reflect guest scores), so if you want a guest's box to count, please encourage that person to sign up. Glory Days and Brainbuster were new content, but Showdown was a repeat of last week (curiously, with the new categories for the Category Round and Final listed, but the questions from last week). I'm not sure what the problem was. Anyway, we did poorly. The top score was 79xx, and the other four were all in the 5200-5900 range. Sean |

I don't think you'll see a score from 8th Street Grill for last night. We did play, and were doing pretty well - better than the 8548 we'll have to keep now... During the battle of Alma question (Q11?), we were on "France", which I think was correct, but the system froze as the timer was counting down and we never saw the answer. The system rebooted to the "BuzzTime" screen and sat there until the next game started, but by then most of the team had left. I don't know if it's related, but we didn't see any of the leader boards after Showdown either... |

Alma was actually a battle in the Crimean War. Sorry to hear about the system failure. It is intensely frustrating for that to happen, particularly in a tournament. |

Post subject: | Week Four Standings (short version) |
I apologize for the delay in getting the rankings out. Yesterday I spent traveling to Sarasota, where I'm helping my mother get ready for my stepfather's funeral on Monday, and my computer doesn't have Internet capability unless I lug it to a Wi-Fi spot, and the computer I'm on now with Internet has file incompatibility problems with the standings file. I did run the numbers, and here's the short version of the rankings I've typed in manually; the full array will be posted Tuesday afternoon. For this purpose, I'm omitting the bottom teams because of logistical problems, etc. don't seem to be playing any longer. Once again, the lead has changed hands, and especially with the "drop-the-lowest-score" feature coming into play next week, everything is way too close to call: 1. Henry Hudson's -- 48,931 2. Stringz & Wings --48,700 3. Diamond Lil's--48,144 4. BWW Crystal City (Arlington, VA)--47,376 5. The Concert Pub--46,358 6. Fox and Hound--46,061 7. Scooter's--45,769 8. Touch of Class--45,749 9. Heroes--45,015 10. BWW-Overland Park--43,818 11. Stadium Cafe--43,618 12. Mad River--43,132 13. Looney's--43,130 14. West Park Station--42,895 15. Teaser's--42,846 16. Adam's Mill--42,817 17. Houlihan's--42,001 18. KC's Time Out--40,046 19. Dagwoods--39,709 20. Tailgate--35,104 21. 8th St. Grill--29,988 Brooke/AARDVK |

Thanks, Brooke--I am so sorry to hear about your stepfather, and I know that the last thing you should be worrying about right now is trivia. Our condolences to you as you lay him to rest this weekend. After you get back, though, you may want to check Henry Hudson's score again. I could be wrong, but based on the results posted here the last few weeks, I had them figured for 48,971. Have a safe trip back. |

I just wanted to chip in (though I know ANON has also on behalf of The Fellowship) and say thanks for a fabulously run Tourney with lots of fun! Our group did toast to DINGO last night and had a lot of fun playing the game in his honor. I just saw on this thread that DINGO was fond of Modelo w/a lime. My partner-in-crime (MEH) also enjoys the same... I'll be sure we have one to celebrate again when the trophy arrives. Well done to all... this was down to the wire for us with under 300 points between the teams at the top. |
