I must apologize again. I was there tonight, but I couldn't figure out how to turn the DVR on. I still can't. |

That's a pity, because I was quite interested in seeing the exact wording of the Nobel question. Knowing that there is no real Nobel in Economics (it is officially the Sveriges Riksbank prize in Economics), we were riding Economics down to near oblivion on that question. Does anyone remember exactly how the question was worded? |

I can't remember the exact wording, but Frank has the gist of it. I was on Economics for the same reason, but a teammate was certain that the Peace was awarded by Norway, so we went with it. He was right! ![]() |

Within the last month, I've seen this question worded the other way around (which Nobel prize was awarded by Norway ( or in Oslo)?) ...not sure it was Buzztime..might have been Jeopardy! or funtrivia.com BTW, props to CTCOOK and the other perfect score in BB |

Awww. Thank you Steve. I had to let let eveyone know that I was back from vacation, knowing how much you missed me. [Ahem.] But let it be known that I stand on the shoulders of giants -- albeit giants with clay feet in a monsoon after our humbling, but sufficient, Showdown score. BTW--have you seen my posting on the McCarthy Cup thread? I enjoyed the Red Stripe in Montego, but still missed my Brador. Yeah, malt liquor will always bring the Muse for a visit. |

Yes, kudos to CTCOOK and REB on their perfect scores. We were flying relatively high until Q15, about a compatriot of mine called Mary Kingsley of whom, somehow, I have managed to avoid hearing in my over half-century on this planet. Otherwise, it has to be said, it was a relatively benign game. |
