This seemed yo be generally a good game, but there was one third clue that could have thrown us off. That was for the question about the noted early naturalist -John Gerard. The last clue was "common surname", leaving me wondering if Gerard was really the commonest of the 5 surnames listed, or if the writer did not know what "surname" meant in English.

I think that the Messier question (or a variation) has been used before - more than once. It might not have been Brainbuster - it might have been a Showdown question
