At Walsh's, we have started a new (at least for us) Countdown game, which we have played at 9:30 on Thurs and Fri. It can only be played with the new tablets. We call it Countdown Golf and the object is to get the lowest possible score, without getting zero. A perfect score on a question would be 1. Any score of 0 on a question automatically gets a penalty score of 100. We play for $1 a board. RO has the current record with a game score of 286! |

It's been a almost two weeks now, and nobody has responded to MERKIN's original post. Is this just Life in the City of Big Shoulders? Surely someone else has seen the quiz. Otherwise he's sitting under a microscope. Congratulations to RO for his 286. Has there been any recurrence? |

Back when I was playing with the team at the Cattle Company in Portland, OR, I used to play a little game myself on that football quiz just before Monday night football... For those that aren't ancient like myself, this quiz was a game of "it happened yesterday in the NFL" kind of questions... Pure dreck unless you were some sort of fantasy-football geek... I mean, who cares how many yards Player X rushed for yesterday??. So... the game I'd play would be to purposely get a -250 or two, then try to work my way sloooowwwwwlyyyyyy up toward my target final score of +1. Can't even remember if I ever succeeded, but I know I was at least close a few times... |
