Answers:

1. Li'l Red Riding Hood [Andrew F (DR LUV, KAY) called this one at Buster's Bar, Ottawa ON; see https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xNEYfIUDkh8 ]

2. Lyndon Johnson [I (REACH) pre-called this one; see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1964_Unit ... l_election ]

3. Dotto [We missed most of the Points on this one, as neither The $64,000 Question nor Twenty-One involved Eddie Hilgemeir; see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1950s_quiz_show_scandals , https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dotto and https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Twenty-One . Twenty-One featured Charles Van Doren, the son of a prominent Pulitzer Prize-winning poet and academic, who was given the answers ahead of time and acted to increase the drama. This became the basis for the 1994 movie "Quiz Show". The success of "Jeopardy!" shows that playing the game honestly is still popular and interesting, something that the Borg sites at ntn Trivia cannot possibly understand. ]

4. Tom Wolfe [I pre-called this one; see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Radical_chic ]

5. The Manchurian Candidate [see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Manch ... (1962_film) . We noted that Angela Lansbury was born in 1925, so she was around 37 years old when she played the mother of Lawrence Harvey who was around 34 at the time. Lansbury went on to fame in a TV show featuring a small Maine town with the very high murder rate of 1 a week.]

6. Studs Terkel [I pre-called this one; See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Studs_Terkel and https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Working:_ ... at_They_Do . I cannot see why this book would be banned, as it features normal working people who have a certain dignity and pride even if they are not part of the intellectual elite.]

7. White gardenias [see https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D7f9hsFrKUY ]

8. Leather beanbag [see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hacky_sack ]

9. Jonathan Winters [I pre-called this one; see https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YU2Jt9zjU-4 ]

10. Willy Brandt [I pre-called this one; see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Willy_Brandt ]

11. Mia Farrow [I guessed this one for 935 Points; Dave (YELDOR, TULADI) got 827 & 793 Points; see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_and_Mary_(film) ]

12. Baseball [Dave (YELDOR, TULADI) and DR LUV got 1000 Points each on 3 tablets; I guessed wrong & got only 171. Perhaps Phil (BSLXPN) would have known this from his knowledge of baseball.]

13. Guys and Dolls [I pre-called this one; for Doris Day's version, see https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gkVEQz8AsEw ]

14. Douglas MacArthur [I wrongly pre-called "Patton" because he placed 5th at the 1912 Summer Olympics in the modern pentathlon, and he might have taken the job after WWI; see the section "Early life" at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/George_S._Patton and https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Modern_pentathlon (which combined fencing, 300 m freestyle swimming, equestrian show jumping, pistol shooting, and 4 km cross-country running). MacArthur's story is equally interesting: see the section "Army's youngest major general" at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Douglas_MacArthur and http://time.com/4366305/douglas-macarth ... -olympics/ .]

15. Brook Benton [I pre-called this one; see https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XRTXFADdy30 for a video, and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gVpaXi5kuXA for audio with better sound quality.]
