One of the rumors at Hooter's of Tallahassee Monday night was the Varsity Grill sign has been replaced by a "Prime Time" sign. We don't know if it is a cousin to Prime Time in Tampa, will have NTN, or what. We're still looking for a Tuesday night haunt having ditched Applebee's Capital Circle mainly because of our dislike for Kim, one of the barmaids. I'm playing at Applebee's in the Holiday Inn on Appalachee Parkway next Tuesday but tonight because work still expects five days output in four days (anyone else's desk buried yesterday?) I only have time for Glory Daze at Pocket's Pool & Pub. They don't share answers but Quentin (QBALL) and I have a friendly answer sharing rivalry when he's not with the rest of the
poker-playing crowd. Becca, the waitress, is an absolute voluptuous blonde bombshell. The glasses do me in. I can put up with a half-hour of smoke to ogle that.
It's always good to reminisce playing the game. Yes I actually remember Kay Starr's "Rock and Roll Waltz" Isn't that an oxymoron? the factoid asks afterward. I don't know where I read it but remember Sonny Bono wrote the Searcher's hit "Needles and Pins" or as Quentin corrects me "Needles and Pins-Uh".
