liljol wrote: From NTN Buzztime, Inc.'s FB page, my most recent post there: "Please accept your #@%$! badge for your godawful, horrible, grievous bungling of the Kenny G question in today's "Soothing Sounds" Topix." For those who decided not to bang away at this game, the question went something like "Which of these is *not* true of Kenny G?" The correct answer was "Starred in 'A Chorus Line'", which was answer 2. However, when the smoke cleared, they showed the correct answer as 1, "Real name is Kenneth Gorelick". Nearly threw my box after that one. Nothing soothing about that game. |

The kids are still jammin' to that one, aren't they? |

Well, while I doubt NTN Buzztime will include them, it would be nice to see a question on either of the Green brothers from El Cerrito, CA (Cornell, who played for The Cowboys in their early days, and Elijah "Pumpsie", who has the somewhat dubious distinction of finally integrating the major league lineup of those eternally damnable FBOSOX, making them the last to do so). |

you really think I would know better than to play a Friday topics by now. While my overall score was fine, they completely mishandled the game. We had 14 questions that anybody who skimmed the book for 10 min. three years ago and who is even vaguely aware of current pop culture even to my level should have nailed for 1000 with no trouble, then we had one question which basically asked who was the dad of a bit player who, if the movie is anything whatsoever like the book, is probably onscreen for 90 seconds, has two lines, is not even named, and appears in only one scene as anything other than background. |
