Can't wait 'til September. A couple of interesting Topix (8/4, 8/18, maybe 8/25.) Nothing in the "must play" category though.

August 18 looks good. I'll have to see how many of the questions relate to places I visited

Please let there be a "Biggest Ball of Twine in Minnesota" question!

meh. Not much that grabs me really. Inventors might be OK and used cars could be fun if well-written but I'm no WWII or tourism buff to say the least.

Don't know if you should play on the 4th, Frank... you might get some flashbacks from your time served in the Battle of the Bulge and go all "Audie Murphy" on someone.

I played the WWII Topix game ast night and thought it was quite enjoyable. Wasnt all that difficult, and I wouldnt have minded if it were a bit harder. I got a 13990 and should have been more like a 14400 as I waffled too long on one question and then got it wrong. Overall a very enjoyable game however.

I almost hit Virginia at first looking for West Virgiinia, but caught myself quickly and then went to Utah without bleeding hardly at all

Could someone refresh my memory?
Was the Oklahoma one of the answers for the battleship question?

Utah was the answer. The other choices were Colorado, New Jersey, Vermont and Virginia.

Thanks TD.
In case you guys plan on using this one in general circulation again, you might want to switch it from the Utah to another of the sunken ships at Pearl.
Since its designation had been changed to that of a target ship (AG-16)instead of that of a battleship (BB-31), I'm not sure if the Utah technically still counts as a battleship.
Maybe someone better informed about these things can elucidate.

The question simply asked for "ship" and not "battleship." The fact afterwards was:

THE UTAH WAS A FORMER
BATTLESHIP THAT HAD BEEN
CONVERTED TO A GUNNERY
TARGET.
